WASHINGTON, DC: JD Vance made controversial remarks against women in a resurfaced podcast from 2021.

The Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that professional women who prioritize their careers over starting families are choosing "a path to misery."

JD Vance says professional women are being caught in a 'rat race'

In the podcast 'Moment of Truth', JD Vance criticized the modern feminist notion of career liberation, particularly targeting women who dedicate extensive hours to their jobs.

He suggested that these career-driven women are missing out on the fulfillment that comes from having children.

“You have women who think that truly the liberationist path is to spend 90 hours a week working in a cubicle at McKinsey instead of starting a family and having children,” said Vance.

“What they don’t realize—and I think some of them do eventually realize that, thank God—is that that is actually a path to misery," he added.

The Ohio senator then referenced his female classmates from Yale Law School, where he met his wife, Usha Vance.

He described these professional women as being caught in a relentless "rat race" that he believes ultimately leads to dissatisfaction and unhappiness in life.

JD Vance's unearthed remarks have drawn comparisons to his previous comments, including his "childless cat lady" remark, which he recently claimed was made sarcastically as a joke.

His views on women and family have sparked controversy in the past, as he has often criticized women for prioritizing career over family life.

On Tuesday, August 27, Vance faced criticism for comments he made about teachers without biological children after he stated that it “really disorients” and “really disturbs” him.

Internet slams JD Vance's criticism of career-driven women

As JD Vance's remarks against professional women from a 2021 podcast resurfaced, netizens slammed the GOP vice presidential nominee's controversial comments.

One user on X wrote, "I genuinely can’t understand how any women would vote for that congenitally unlikable misogynist."

Another tweeted, "This man is only 40. How are they this many videos of him disparaging the rights of women. Has he spent the last decade looking for every single media outlet that will have him to say these disgusting things?"

"Imagine your whole mission in life is to insult and denigrate women and bend over for the approval of a sociopath. He needs a therapist," a netizen commented.

Someone else remarked, "Shameful. Women don’t need JD Vance’s approval to live fulfilling, meaningful lives. The real tragedy is a politician who can’t find value in anyone who doesn’t fit his narrow worldview. Misogyny isn’t a policy—it’s a disqualifier."

"Vance has no real value system, just contempt for others," an individual penned and another opined, "He hates women. It is so very clear. He doesn’t even try to hide it. I don’t even know why he, himself, is married."
