TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA: During the fourth GOP debate, Republican presidential candidate and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy criticized former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley on Wednesday night, labeling her as a "fascist” for her views on social media.

Wednesday's debate unfolded with a reduced number of candidates on stage, yet the essential dynamics of the Republican presidential debate remained consistent with the three prior meetings.

A definitive Republican alternative to former President Donald Trump has not yet emerged, with Trump maintaining a substantial lead significant enough for him to abstain from participating in all the debates.

Meanwhile, Haley faced repeated attacks during the debate as Ron DeSantis and Ramaswamy teamed up to go after the former governor.

However, the internet did not respond well to Ramaswamy’s brutal jabs at Haley as several X users slammed him, calling him “obnoxious disaster.”

Business entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy sparked controversy when he accused Nikki Haley of embracing "fascist" views, particularly about her stance on social media, during the debate.

He said, “The only person more fascist than the Biden regime now is Nikki Haley, who thinks the government should identify every one of those individuals with an ID,” during the debate at Moody Music Hall at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

He further said, “That is not freedom, that is fascism, and she should come nowhere near the levers of power, let alone the White House.”

Ramaswamy's accusation stemmed from a prior proposal put forth by Haley, wherein she suggested the need for social media users to undergo verification by using their real names.

This exchange marked a continuation of their ongoing clash from earlier primaries.

In a recent confrontation, Ramaswamy had called out Haley for criticizing his use of TikTok, pointing out that her daughter also used the app. In response, Haley labeled him as "scum."

In the fourth Republican debate, Haley chose not to engage with the criticism from her fellow Indian-American candidate, Ramaswamy.

When co-moderator Eliana Johnson asked if she wanted to respond to Ramaswamy's attacks, Haley simply replied, "No."

She went on to dismiss the need for a response, stating, "It's not worth my time to respond to him."

Internet calls Vivek Ramaswamy ‘obnoxious disaster’

After Vivek Ramaswamy called Nikki Haley a ‘fascist’ during the fourth GOP debate over her views on social media, several X users took a jab at the businessman.

One person wrote, “I want to not like this guy, then he says stuff like this,” and another said, “Vivek is an obnoxious disaster as a candidate.”

An X user simply slammed Ramaswamy adding, “@VivekGRamaswamy is very dangerous just like 45th.”

Another called Ramaswamy saying, “Vivek is a snake in the Grass,” and one wrote, “Just lost all respect for you attacking @NikkiHaley.”

One more took a jab at Ramaswamy, “Vivek shows his true immature colors--not able to think on the real issues but degrades himself by insulting others--unfit to lead our great nation--Vivek bow out now PLEASE! GOP Unite with Nikki!”
