'What a cool kid': Internet sends love to Hilary Duff's son Luca Cruz after she shared a sweet post to mark his 12th birthday

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hilary Duff is celebrating her son, Luca Cruz's 12th birthday.

The Teen Choice Award winner celebrated her child's memorable occasion with a sweet Instagram post that showed a collection of videos of Cruz that she captured over the years.

The heartfelt clip started with a shot of Cruz, whom Duff shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie, at a table, then him making a funny face and sticking his tongue out while in a car. The 'How I Met Your Father' actress makes an appearance too, smiling in some sunglasses as she wraps an arm around him. 

Many notable moments and accomplishments from Cruz's life are also captured in the montage, including his doing a high jump, playing basketball, acting on stage during a school play, learning how to play the piano, and winning a medal for sports.

“Another year for the books Luca!!!! Happy 12 ✨ my golden joy!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘,” Duff captioned the video she shared.

She also included clips of him during major holidays, dressed as a clown for Halloween, unwrapping presents for Christmas, and skating in front of the Eiffel Tower while on vacation in Paris.

The video also shows some family scenes with Cruz and his little sister, Banks Violet, five, at the kitchen counter and even dancing with what seemed to be bowls on their heads.

In one shot, he even could be seen carrying his other two-year-old little sister, Mae James, on a red carpet. There were also family moments with Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma.

Hilary Duff is expecting her fourth child

Cruz will soon have another sibling to make new memories with. The 'Younger' actress announced that she was expecting her fourth child in a Christmas card, which featured a photo of herself cradling her growing belly.

"So much for silent nights. Love, the Duff-Bair-Comrie Crew," the front of the card read, while the back added, "Buckle up Buttercups, we're adding one more to this crazy bunch!" Koma shared another fun family photo from the shoot on his Instagram page and wrote, "baby #4 is loading…"

During a 2021 interview with the outlet, Duff disclosed that she loved the "mayhem" of raising three kids and the busy work that came with it.

"I love when everyone's full of energy and the house is buzzing. You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid's going to say,” she told People Magazine. “We're in the thick of it, and it feels good.”
