NORRISTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA: - A robbery took a tragic turn as gunfire erupted just outside a residence in Norristown, Pennsylvania over the weekend.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and local law enforcement are currently providing a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individuals or suspects involved in a robbery and homicide in Norristown, as per CBS News

Who was the victim?

Montgomery County is seeking the identification and apprehension of four men involved in the killing of a 35-year-old man in Norristown over the weekend.

As per police reports, the deadly incident occurred around 7:49 pm on Saturday, January 20, when 35-year-old William Grover Carter of Norristown was assaulted while walking along the block of West Wood Street.

At that particular moment, three men, all dressed in black, allegedly confronted Carter as he was walking to his car after departing from a friend's house on Powell Street, which was in close proximity. Tragically, Carter was shot and killed during the course of the robbery.

Police continue the manhunt 

Police believe the men who attacked Carter pulled up to the scene in a gray Toyota RAV-4, and a fourth individual waited in the car as the incident unfolded, as per the video obtained by Fox News.

Following the incident, the four suspects swiftly fled west on Wood Street, as reported by the police.

The vehicle believed to be connected to the crime was found engulfed in flames at the intersection of Willow and Roberts Streets on Sunday, January 21, at three in the morning, according to officials leading the investigation, as reported by NBC News.

On December 21, 2023, authorities reported that the car had been stolen from Cheltenham. Law enforcement is seeking public assistance in identifying any of the suspects and is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to their identification.
