Wiz Khalifa opens up about bond with mother Peachie

In the candid interview with Jennifer Hudson, the 36-year-old rapper offered insights into his close bond with his mother and shared that they "do everything together,” including trips to strip clubs.

Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, admitted, "Mother’s Day is every day for my mom. Peachie’s a superstar," per People.

Referring to  his mother, the ‘Black and Yellow’ crooner told Hudson, "If you meet her, you’ll fall in love with her, so every day is her day."

The Pennsylvania native continues, "Me and my mom do everything together. We go to strip clubs together. We went to Mexico.”

He shared that they even attend concerts together. “We went to Coachella together," revealed the rockstar before declaring confidently, "Yeah, we do everything. That’s my dawg!"

While the mother-and-son duo may love to attend a few glitzy parties here and there, the ‘Bugatti’ performer admits that the most “fun” he has when he is home spending time with his family.

Spending time with his mother and his son Sebastian Taylor (whom he shares with ex-wife Amber Rose), gives the ‘Gang Up’ singer ultimate joy.

He explained, "I think the most fun thing is being at home and raising the kids and things like that, just being in the house and doing everything around the house. I really value that, and that time is really special to me.”

Khalifa’s other family members too gained special mentions in the interview. A complete family man, the rapper shared that he was coached by his father and his uncle in the early days of his career.

He shared, "I started out writing when I was really young. My uncle taught me how to write songs when I was in third grade.”

His father also played a massive part in his growing as a musician, as Khalifa shared, "And just growing up on the internet, downloading instrumentals, free styling, then I started working with my dad, and he bought me my first equipment.”

The rapper who recently released his track ‘XXX’ continued, “I started putting my own mixtapes out. By the time I was, like, 16 or 19, I had a major record deal, and was off doing my thing.”

Wiz Khalifa’s mom is proud of him

The interview with Hudson is, however, not the first time that the ‘See You Again’ rapper has opened up about his relationship with his mother.

Khalifa, who has been a hands-on father to his son Sebastian, shared with People that while bringing him up, he realized the hardships his mother must have felt in his childhood.

He shared, “When stuff happens, I’m like, ‘Oh man, this was definitely me,’” before adding, “This is what my mom was going through.”

Even his mother joined in praising the singer, as Peachie revealed, “Every time I think I’m going to burst from being proud, he makes me prouder. We crack up, we laugh, we watch movies. We’re close!”
