GREENVILLE, DELAWARE: Former president Joe Biden served as the 46th POTUS and ran many political campaigns by touting his "Middle-Class Joe" persona during his career. But his fortune does not make him seem like a normal middle-class person.

As per Forbes, the former president is worth $10 million at the time of writing this report. Moreover, both Joe and former first lady Jill Biden have a few rather expensive things in their possession, according to Nicki Swift.  Let us take a look at the most expensive things owned by Joe Biden and wife Jill.

1. Bidens' residence in Greenville

The Bidens own a massive 6,850-square-foot primary residence in Greenville, Delaware. The couple paid around $350,000 for the four-acre property back in 1996, per The Wall Street Journal.

According to NPR, after buying the property, Joe designed and built a three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home on it. The property is now estimated to be worth more than $2 million.

Joe Biden revealed in the confines of his 2017 memoir, 'Promise Me, Dad', that at one point he was thinking of taking out a second mortgage on the residence due to the mounting expenses of his son Beau Biden's cancer diagnosis.

However, former president Barack Obama offered his help at the time. Joe Biden recalled him saying, "Don't do that. I'll give you the money. I have it. You can pay me back whenever."

2. Rehoboth Beach vacation home

Joe and Jill Biden paid $2.7 million for a six-bedroom vacation home in Rehoboth Beach with views of the Atlantic Ocean in 2017.

The former president said in a statement, according to Fox News, "Throughout our careers, Jill and I have dreamed of being able to buy a place at the beach at home where we can bring the whole family. We feel very lucky that we're now able to make that happen and are looking forward to spending time with our family."

The Bidens celebrated Jill's 70th birthday with a relaxing weekend at the vacation home in 2020.

3. Joe Biden's Corvette

Joe Biden, whose father was a car salesman, just loves vintage cars. He owns a 1967 Corvette Stingray, a car his father gifted him and his first wife, Neilia Biden, as a wedding gift. The vintage machine is estimated to be worth more than $100,000, per Nicki Swift.

During an interview he and his son Hunter Biden did with Popular Mechanics in 2016, the former POTUS said, "The truth is, my dad, his grandpop, was a great driver. I mean, he could handle an automobile. He loved speed."

4. 7.5-carat diamond gifted by Indian Prime Minister to Jill Biden

Apart from these luxurious possessions, Jill Biden was also gifted a 7.5-carat lab-grown diamond worth $20,000 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2023, and it became the most expensive gift received by the US first family in 2023.

The diamond was among the thousands of dollars worth of gifts received by Joe Biden and his wife from foreign leaders in 2023. However, the former first lady won't be able to use it personally as it has been retained for official use in the White House East Wing.

However, as per the norms, Jill has the option to "purchase" the gift from the US government at its market value since Biden has left office but it is rare, particularly with high-end items.
