NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: When president-elect Donald Trump married his third and present wife Melania in 2005, the couple could have hardly predicted they would be staying in the White House for two inconsecutive terms.
While Trump and Melania started off strong in their relationship, since his first presidency in 2016, rumors surfaced of Melania being less than happy in the union. The allegations faced by the controversial businessman from Stormy Daniels and other women certainly did not help matters.
However, while their feelings behind closed doors cannot be commented upon with certainty, The List curated some notable moments in which the pair engaged in public displays of affection over the years.

Melania accompanied her husband Donald on stage on the first day of the 2016 Republican National Convention on July 18 in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined the GOP nominee on stage and said in her speech that Trump's kindness, even if it is "not always noted," is "one reason I fell in love with him to begin with."
The event provided several photos of Trump and Melania being affectionate on stage, either hugging or leaning in for a kiss. At one point, Melania put her hand up to the crowd while kissing Donald's cheek, who in turn wore an appreciative look on his face.

In the early days of their relationship, Donald Trump and Melania could hardly keep their hands to themselves, claimed the publication.
Their point was better made by a picture taken at a Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets game in 2009 where the two were seen sharing a kiss.
Commenting on their partnership on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' Donald stated, "I really think that we have a very good friendship. We've had a very good relationship and a really great friendship."

Midway through Donald Trump's first term in the Oval Office, speculations grew that Melania was not happy in her role as the first lady. Sources claimed that she did not expect Trump to win the election and was waiting for his presidency to end before divorcing him.
However, the couple never commented on the rumors and presented a united front in public. During French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the state, the couple welcomed him arm in arm at the state arrival ceremony. Trump even brought Melania in for a kiss, got blocked by her hat, and resorted to sharing some quick air smooches instead.

Donald Trump and Melania have an age difference of 24 years, but the attraction between the two was palpable in the early years of their relationship.
Back in 2024, the couple was photographed while leaving the Trump Tower in New York. Seemingly, playing it up for the cameras around them, Melania kissed Donald on the cheek as he smiled into the distance.

While Melania made few appearances in Donald's election rallies in 2024, her presence was prominent back in 2016.
During a campaign rally at Wilmington International Airport in North Carolina, Trump was in a notably affectionate mood. He drew in his wife multiple times for a kiss on the stage.
Melania introduced Donald at the event, following which they embraced and shared a kiss. As the crowd cheered them on, the two hugged before kissing on the lips.

Donald Trump apparently decided to amp up the PDA during the Liberty Inaugural Ball in his first year in the White House. According to The List, it was a big night for the couple.
They spent the night holding hands, embracing, dancing, and kissing. Trump even called out his wife in his speech, saying, "I want to thank all of our supporters. My number one supporter Melania — thank you, honey."
