LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Firefighter Brye Carden received widespread acclaim on the Internet after he recounted his heroic rescue. He revealed how he was calm and composed while saving the woman driver trapped in a semi-truck hanging off the Louisville Bridge.

Local authorities reported a crash involving a semi-truck at 12.15 local time in Kentucky on March 1. The truck was heading northbound on the bridge when it veered across lanes and collided with the guardrail, breaching it.

Bryce Carden reveals he was 'calm' while rescuing woman driver

Firefighter Carden recently performed a daring rescue on the Clark Memorial Bridge in Kentucky, which spans the Ohio River. He saved an unidentified woman driver from a terrifying crash.

Using a ladder, Carden descended to reach the trapped driver in the semi-truck's trailer, which was wedged against the bridge's beams, preventing it from falling into the river below.

Despite the truck's hood hanging open from the cab, Carden fearlessly secured the woman using ropes and brought her to safety.

In an interview with Fox News host CB Cotton, Carden remained "humble" about his bravery and credited the success of the mission to his team, stating, "I knew that the guys had my back, so I was not nervous whatsoever. I went down, everything slowed down."
