‘A true loss’: Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and more political leaders honor Dolly Parton
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Dolly Parton, the country music legend whose remarkable career spanned seven decades, has died at the age of 80.
The news of her death was announced in an official statement posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account and also confirmed by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, in a video statement.
Initial reports mentioned that Parton died peacefully in Nashville. Representatives later told People Magazine that the singer-songwriter-actress passed away after ‘a brief battle with cancer.’
In the wake of her death, several political leaders, including President Donald Trump, former presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and many others, took to social media to pay tribute to the late global icon.
