NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ainsley Earhardt is embracing her new identity as Sean Hannity’s wife, but viewers should not expect to hear her using his surname on television.

The Fox News host revealed Tuesday, October 27 that she intends to take Hannity’s last name in her private life while continuing to appear on screen as Ainsley Earhardt.

During her return to 'Fox & Friends', she explained the reason behind the decision and spoke affectionately about her marriage to the fellow Fox News hosts.

Ainsley Earhardt plans to take Hannity's last name

Earhardt made clear that becoming ‘Mrs. Hannity’ matters to her personally, even if she does not plan to change her professional identity.

“I am so proud to be his bride and I want to love him and serve him all the days of my life,” she said on Tuesday.

She explained that she has already started using her married name in private correspondence.

“I will take his last name for my personal life. I am so proud to be Mrs. Hannity, and I have signed every text, pretty much, that people have sent me, ‘Love, Mrs. Hannity,'” she said.

Her plans for television, however, prompted a joke about the network’s existing Hannity.

“For TV, I think here at Fox, there’s only room for one Hannity, so I think I will be Ainsley Earhardt forever on TV,” she said.

Earhardt was equally enthusiastic when discussing Hannity.

“I’m so in love with that man right there,” she said as she spoke about her wedding.

She went on to describe what she admires about him, praising both his generosity and his relationships with colleagues.

“He’s the most generous person, he’s so kind, he loves everyone at Fox, he’s just really, really, good,” she said.

Inside the couple’s grand wedding

Earhardt and Hannity married on Saturday, October 24, at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida.

The church was also where Hannity proposed to Earhardt in December 2024.

Their ceremony was followed by a private reception at the Everglades Club.

The wedding brought together relatives, close friends and numerous colleagues from Fox News. Earhardt’s fellow 'Fox & Friends' hosts Steve Doocy, Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade were among those present.

Other Fox personalities included Laura Ingraham, Dana Perino, Bret Baier and Mark Levin.

The guest list also featured prominent political figures, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.

Eric Trump and Lara Trump were also reported among the attendees.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended a pre-wedding celebration at Mar-a-Lago on Friday, October 23, but were not present at the wedding ceremony the following day.

Earhardt wore a gown by Oscar de la Renta, while Hannity opted for a white tuxedo jacket and black trousers.
