BRONX, NEW YORK: Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 34, has fired back at critics of her spirited appearance at a Bronx rally supporting Rep Jamaal Bowman, describing the R-rated event as “fun as hell.”

“Fox News is big mad that we’re for the many, not the money,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X, sharing a clip of her high-energy performance at St Mary’s Park in Mott Haven. “We rallied 1,200 people in the Bronx to take on dark money, get fired up, and send busloads of volunteers to canvass and phone bank. It’s called organizing. And it’s fun as hell.”

During the rally, the congresswoman leaped onto the stage, jumped up and down, and strutted to the beat of Cardi B’s 'Enough,' electrifying the crowd. The song’s lyrics, including 'Hoes better lower they tone when they spittin’. B—es is washed, soap on the dishes. I apply pressure like boa constrictors,' blared in the background as Ocasio-Cortez energized the audience.

At the lectern, Ocasio-Cortez passionately called for a cease-fire in Gaza and urged Bowman supporters to “take the country back,” repeatedly knocking over microphones in her fervor. The rally, drawing comparisons to former President Donald Trump’s South Bronx event that attracted up to 10,000 attendees, was aimed at boosting Bowman (D-NY) in his primary contest against Westchester County Executive George Latimer.

Bowman, seizing the stage with equal intensity, grabbed a stool and led chants of “Cease-fire now” before launching into a profanity-laden tirade against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. “We are gonna show f*****g AIPAC the power of the motherf—king South Bronx,” he roared.

Polls indicate Bowman is trailing Latimer by 17 percentage points in the 16th District, encompassing much of Westchester County and the northern Bronx. The endorsement race heated up with Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton both throwing their support behind Latimer.

“I’m proud to endorse @LatimerforNY. We need more commonsense leaders and problem solvers in Congress. I know George will fight hate in all forms and stand up for the values we all believe in,” Gottheimer posted on X.

Critics had a field day with the rally’s theatrics

A social media user tweeted, "1200? That’s a whole lot of crack you’re smoking. There were about 50 people there for the rally, mostly media, and about 200 pro-Palestine protestors who chased you and Bowman into your coach bus before you fled. There’s footage, and before you start, they’re not cheap fakes."

Another added, "This is the crowd at AOC and Bowman's rally."

"AOC acting like a lunatic on stage is not something to be proud of. Especially as her constituents in NYC suffer tremendously under a wave of increased crime and illegals as wages go down and prices go up. What has AOC done to help her people other than wave her arms and yell?" read a tweet.

"You seem so cringe," said an individual.

"That’s nothing compared to Trump’s rally. And your little rally was super rachet," penned a user.
