The on-air reveal took place during the second “Hot Topics” segment, leaving the studio audience and her fellow co-hosts cheering and teary-eyed.

The unexpected moment unfolded after moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced a segment about embarrassing moments. When it was Farah Griffin’s turn, she admitted she didn’t have a recent embarrassment to share but instead had a viral clip, one that had aged in a rather hilarious way.

The clip she referred to was from September 2023, when Whoopi Goldberg suddenly stopped mid-sentence during a live broadcast to ask, “Are you pregnant?” At the time, Farah Griffin was visibly stunned, especially since her mother-in-law was sitting in the audience.

“So Whoopi, do you want to ask me again?” Farah Griffin said with a beaming smile as the clip ended, rubbing her belly to confirm the exciting news. The camera quickly panned to Whoopi, whose jaw dropped in disbelief before she broke into a wide grin.
