Amanda Bynes takes inspiration from Britney Spears, considers writing tell-all
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: About two years ago, actress Amanda Bynes was finally freed from the conservatorship she was placed under in 2013. According to recent reports, Amanda wants to concentrate on her work and is even looking to Britney Spears for motivation.
A new source claimed that Amanda, who underwent two hospital stays in 2023 due to mental health problems, intends to re-enter the public spotlight about two years after a judge decided to end her nine-year conservatorship.
Amanda Bynes is 'considering writing a tell-all'
After experiencing a mental breakdown in 2013, the 37-year-old was initially placed under her parents' conservatorship. However, the insider revealed to Life and Style, "She seems to be taking back control of her life."
The insider added, referring to Spears' successful memoir, 'The Woman in Me' which was published in October, "Amanda even says she’s considering writing a tell-all, just like Britney Spears."
"She has been inspired by Britney and how she’s also gone through hell with her own conservatorship and come out the other side."
The 'She’s the Man' actress launched a new podcast in December 2023 and appears to have been working on a coffee table book despite her difficulties this year.
The source continued by saying that Amanda is not against going back to acting; she had earlier expressed interest in doing a reprise of 'What I Like About You?'
The source said, "Acting isn’t out of the question either. She’s more than ready to get back to work. That’s where she’s focusing all her energy."
The 'Amanda Show' star, who starred in her last production in 2010, might be returning to TV and film in addition to maybe publishing her own book, as per OK! Magazine.
However, the source claimed that Amanda is currently concentrating on other professional interests, like as fashion and design, which she studied while receiving her conservatorship at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
Spears broke sales records with her much-awaited memoir, 'The Woman in Me,' which was published in October 2023.
The book goes into great depth regarding the singer's childhood and the ten-year conservatorship she underwent; the chronology of events almost resembles Amanda's.
Although Spears received a staggering $12.5 million in advance for her memoir, there are no signs that Amanda has received an offer for her own book deal.
Friends and family fear Amanda is taking on too much
When Amanda was set to rejoin her co-stars from 'All That' at 90s Con in Connecticut earlier in 2023, it seemed like she had begun to turn her career around.
However, the actress experienced a psychotic episode a few days before her March appearance and lost communication with her crew. In the end, she asked for assistance while spotted nude on a street in Los Angeles.
She was hospitalized for a short period of time and put on psychiatric hold. However, the conservatorship was not restored.
Although Amanda's admirers are ecstatic about her possible comeback to the big screen, those close to the former 'Nickelodeon' star are concerned she might be pushing herself too far.
According to the insider, Amanda's friends and family think she's taking on too much, which might lead to another collapse.
The insider said, "There are friends and family who think Amanda’s beginning to take on too much. She’s been through a lot, so they’re worried."
