After almost two years since the end of her nine-year conservatorship in 2013, Bynes had kept a low profile until she launched a podcast on December 9 with cohost Paul Sieminski.

Bynes had not worked on a one-screen project since 2010.

Despite the initial success of the podcast, Bynes decided to put it on hold and eventually canceled the entire project.

In a statement, Bynes expressed gratitude for the positive response to the first episode but revealed a change in plans, "The 1st episode of my podcast did really well," Bynes said. "I was actually surprised and of course was going to keep going after friends encouraged me to."

"After thinking about it, though, I would rather get my manicurist license and have a consistent job, she added. "I'm going to follow that path instead. Thank you for following my journey!"

While Bynes is eager to get back to work and has gained confidence, there are worries among her inner circle that she might be overextending herself.

According to friends close to Bynes, “She’s more than ready to get back to work. That’s where she’s focusing all her energy.”

While Amanda Bynes embraces newfound confidence and returns to work, concerns are mounting among those close to the former child star, fearing she may be overextending herself.

As reports emerged of her placement on a psych hold after wandering the streets of L.A. without clothes, Bynes spent several weeks in a mental health facility in June. Friends and family are expressing concern that Bynes, who has been through significant challenges, might be taking on too much.

“There are friends and family who think Amanda’s beginning to take on too much,” said a source. “She’s been through a lot, so they’re worried.”

“All of this stuff she’s got going may seem like red flags, but Amanda says it’s helping her stay on track,” said the insider. “Amanda sounds great, and she says she’s happier than ever.”
