Speaking on 'The 2 Johnnies' podcast, Ed Sheeran revealed he is leaving his Suffolk estate, dubbed Sheeranville, to begin a new chapter overseas.
"I'm just about to move to America," Sheeran said on the podcast. "I feel like I might be the only person moving to America. "I'm going on tour there for a while and I have a family, so I can't dip in and out. We're going and settling there."

The move comes ahead of his 'Play' album release on September 12, with only two UK tour dates confirmed — Coventry on December 5 and Manchester on December 7.

Ed Sheeran to miss Ipswich Town games while living abroad
Ed Sheeran admitted there is one major thing he will miss while living in the States: Ipswich Town Football Club.
According to The Mirror, he owns a 1.4% stake in the team and was previously a shirt sponsor.
"I went to almost every game last season," Sheeran said. "I think I can only make one this season because I'm moving to the States."
Though he has not confirmed a specific city, the Grammy winner has long suggested he would like to settle in Nashville.
On the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, he once shared, "Nashville is my favourite city in the States and it's always been my end goal to move to Nashville and transition to country."
Ed Sheeran recalls Irish roots after sparking backlash over identity comments
The singer’s relocation comes only two months after he faced criticism for remarks about his cultural identity.
Although he grew up in Suffolk, Sheeran also has ties to Ireland through his father, John, who hails from Belfast.
Speaking on 'The Louis Theroux Podcast', he said, "I class my culture as Irish. I think that's what I grew up with. My dad's family is... he's got seven brothers and sisters."
"We'd spend all of our holidays in Ireland. My first musical experiences were in Ireland. I grew up with trad music in the house, so I identify culturally as Irish, but I was obviously born and raised in Britain."
He added: "I don't overthink it, but I do feel like my culture is something I'm really proud of and grew up with and want to express.
"And I feel like just because I was born in Britain doesn't necessarily mean that I have to just be British. There are loads of people I know who are half this or quarter that.

"I don't think there's any rules to it. It should be how you feel and how you were raised and what you lean into."
When asked how he is received in Ireland, he said: "I'd say it's basically my second home musically. I'd say Ireland is the place where I am most successful musically."
