Angelina Jolie 'resented' Brad Pitt and never wanted to co-parent amid 'nasty' legal battle, source claims
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been involved in acrimonious legal disputes ever since their dramatic split in 2016; with sources now claiming that Jolie is involved with her kids not communicating with Pitt.
The 'Maleficent' actress has a "very nasty side," a source revealed, despite Jolie's legal team's assurance that she wishes to promote "positive relationships between all members of their family."
Angelina Jolie 'encouraged' kids to avoid spending time with Brad Pitt
The family's former bodyguard Tony Webb allegedly "received multiple calls from Jolie's representative, who told Mr Webb to remind his staff that they had entered into non-disclosure agreements (NDA) with Jolie and that if they testified in a custody proceeding, Jolie would sue them."
Webb was reportedly persuaded by one of Jolie's assistants to "stop" his team members from testifying against her in court.
Webb was told by another guard, Ross Foster, that he would testify that he overheard the 48-year-old "encouraging" their kids to avoid spending time with Pitt when they were on visitation, per OK! Magazine.
The insider said, citing Foster's claims, "It proves that co-parenting was never part of Angie’s plan. Angie resented Brad and took it out on her children by depriving them of a relationship with their dad. It’s sad, really."
Meanwhile, the couple's three daughters, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne, are said to have all dropped the last name "Pitt" from their surnames. Maddox, 22, and Pax, 20, their sons, reportedly have lost communication with their father.
Their relationship with their father deteriorated after an alleged violent incident that Jolie claimed happened during the family's 2016 travel from France to the United States.
An insider said earlier, "Brad cherishes time with his kids and loves seeing them when he can, when he’s in town, once or twice a week. It’s definitely something he prioritizes."
"Brad absolutely hasn’t given up hope on the others, and hopes one day there will be peace in their hearts," the insider added at the time.
Angelina Jolie allegedly involved in kids' estrangement with Brad Pitt
Webb said in the most recent court filings from Pitt's legal team that one of his contractors overheard the 'Salt' actress warn the exes' children not to go near their father when they were visiting him.
Webb was identified in the court document as "the head of Jolie's security detail for two decades," adding that "he remained in that role for approximately four years after the couple divorced."
Webb claimed that Jolie "required him and his contractors to sign NDAs relating to various personal and professional details of her, and her family's life," per OK! Magazine.
According to the documents retrieved, Jolie allegedly attempted to employ strict NDAs to intimidate her security staff into staying silent.
Webb and his contractors, however, "confirmed that they had planned to testify if subpoenaed."
Pitt's attorneys claimed in the startling court filings that one of the contractors "told Webb that 'he would testify about statements he overheard that Ms Jolie made to the children, encouraging them to avoid spending time with Mr Pitt during custody visits'."
Before long "Jolie fired Mr Webb's company" after "the two security contractors both testified" despite the concerns of being sued. According to the records, Webb never heard Jolie tell her kids to avoid their father.
