WASHINGTON, DC: During a recent appearance on C-SPAN, conservative commentator Ann Coulter launched a racially-charged attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she is not a "foundational Black American."

This remark was made in response to Donald Trump's controversial assertion that Harris "happened to turn Black" during her political career.

Ann Coulter claims affirmative action and civil rights laws have been misused

Kamala Harris, who is multiracial, has consistently identified as Black throughout her life. Trump's comments, made at a gathering of Black journalists in Chicago, claimed that Harris, whom he purportedly knew as "Indian all the way," abruptly "became a Black person" as she pursued her political ambitions.

Coulter argued that laws intended to address the legacy of slavery have been misused to disadvantage White individuals under the guise of diversity, benefiting recent immigrants instead.

“And that is the important point he should have made is that the entire purpose of Affirmative Action, set-asides, civil rights laws, laws that limit constitutional rights to freedom of contract, freedom of association, all of that was to make up for the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow,” Coulter stated.

Ann Coulter claims affirmative action benefits should be reserved for 'foundational Black Americans'

Coulter went on to argue that unless the benefits of these laws are specifically allocated to "foundational Black Americans" — the descendants of enslaved individuals in the US — their purpose is undermined.

She suggested that recent immigrants, including those from Thailand, are receiving advantages over certain American-born individuals, particularly White males.

“So unless these benefits are going to roughly define foundational Black Americans, the descendants of American slaves, you’ve taken away the whole purpose of this,” Coulter said.

“Now, you know, a Thai who arrived on Wednesday will get an advantage applying for college, applying for corporations over a heterosexual White male in particular.”

Ann Coulter accuses civil rights and affirmative action laws of anti-White bias

Furthermore, Coulter claimed that civil rights and affirmative action laws have been distorted into tools of anti-White discrimination.

“So to make the point that Kamala isn’t a foundational Black American, I’m always pointing out to Black people, have you noticed Indians are getting all the good diversity jobs?” she continued.

“What did we do to Indians? We didn’t enslave them,” she added, criticizing the current focus on diversity as a form of discrimination against White people.

“90 percent of legal immigrants are from the ‘Third World’. They owe us, we don’t owe them,” Coulter continued. “But to switch from the concept of integration and civil rights for Black Americans to this BS diversity, it’s nothing but discrimination against White people.”

Coulter also dismissed the notion that Trump’s lenient stance on crime would help him secure the Black vote.
