LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Anne Hathaway has reportedly issued an apology for her "awful" exchange with reporter Kjersti Flaa after the entertainment reporter posted a clip of her 2012 interview with the 'Princess Diary' actress on TikTok.

The Norwegian entertainment reporter, 51, claimed in a YouTube video uploaded on Tuesday, October 8, that Hathaway issued her an apology after the journalist uploaded a clip criticizing Hathaway for her behavior during a 2012 press tour, per the New York Post.

Flaa recently made headlines in August after sharing a "nightmare" 2016 interview with Blake Lively which reportedly "made me want to quit my job."

The reporter talked about her interactions with Anne Hathaway while the actress was promoting her film 'Les Miserables' in a YouTube video uploaded on Saturday, October 5, under the title, "This might be my worst interview ever."

One day after she posted the video, Flaa told her TikTok followers that she received an apology email from the 'Devil Wears Prada' star.

Following the release of the clip, Hathaway issued an apology after Flaa accused her of being "dismissive" in the interview to promote the 2012 film.

Flaa addressed her followers and said, "I have to say, I was pretty shocked. I had not expected her to reach out to me at all. I thought she was never going to even see that video, but she did and she did something pretty amazing."

She also said that Hathaway apologized for "giving [Flaa] an awful interview" and sent her a "long email" outlining her circumstances at the time, reported Page Six.

Flaa added, "[Hathaway’s apology] was so touching to me. Just talking about it makes me almost teary-eyed. I was just so grateful that she did that."

"It was a very personal note and we decided that I wouldn’t share exactly what was in the email, but I just wanted to share with you guys what she did because I thought that was just so amazing," she added,

The Norwegian reporter added that she replied to Hathaway's email, thanking her for the apologies and offering to have another conversation with her, although she didn't disclose all the specifics of the communication.

Flaa told her fan base, "I said, ‘If you ever want to sit down and talk about it, I’m here.’ and she invited me to interview her for her next movie that’s coming out in May."

"I have so much respect for people who own up to their mistakes and say they’re sorry. Sorry is such a powerful word," Flaa continued, probably alluding to her earlier incident with Lively, who she claims never expressed regret for her remark about the "little bump."

Kjersti Flaa called her 2012 with Anne Hathaway 'cringe'

In the original video, Anne Hathaway was seen responding bluntly to Flaa's questions while she was addressing the media during a press tour to promote 'Les Misérables'.

According to Flaa, the actress was turned off by a ploy she made up for her interviews with the actors in the movie. The reporter wanted to seek out the stars to react in song by singing her questions to them.

Flaa said in her Saturday video, "I had this idea that I was going to sing the questions and the actors could sing the answers back to me. Kind of a silly thing, but I thought it was fun. It was a musical, after all, and most actors played along with it."

However, Flaa claimed that Hathaway "was not very positive to that idea." She noted that the 'Princess Diary' actress "was being quite dismissive towards me and it created some reactions."

In the 2012 clip, Flaa laughed and stated, "I was going to sing the question to you and you can sing back the answer." But Hathaway was not fond of the notion. "Well I won’t be doing that, but you’re more than welcome to sing," she said.

As the interview continued, Flaa questioned Hathaway about things like "Do you remember your first crush?" and whether she thought "love was more passionate" at the time the movie was set. Hathaway responded to both questions with a simple "No."

At the time, Flaa encouraged her fans to view the remaining part of the "cringe" video on her YouTube page, telling them that "things didn’t go as planned."

One user commented, "I am so proud of her for doing the right thing! We all mess up but apologies are important."

A second user added, "Maybe other celebrities would learn from this too," while another remarked, "She is a class act. Love her!"

One added, "Hat's awesome!! Anne Hathaway is a class act."

"She looked like almost crying, something bad was happening, but ots good she apologised, because you cant guess and keept all those years thinking it was you..." added another.

One person said, "Good on her 👏 I'm honestly so impressed by that because you don't see celebrities apologize unless it's a public stunt. I'm not familiar with her but I'm a personal fan."
