Ariana Grande reveals her next career move is going to be 'scary', admits 'I love musical theater'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande may have risen to fame as a pop icon, but the 31-year-old artist is now considering a change in her career.
Known for her powerhouse vocals and chart-topping hits, Grande recently spoke about her future aspirations, hinting that they may diverge from her past work.

The 'Wicked' actress shared her thoughts on 'Las Culturistas', the podcast hosted by co-star Bowen Yang, suggesting that her next move could surprise her fans.
On the November 6 episode, Grande reflected on her career direction, acknowledging that her evolving goals may be unexpected for her fanbase.
“I’m going to say something so scary,” she said on the podcast. “It’s going to scare the absolute s**t out of my fans and everyone. I love them, and they will deal, and we will be here forever," she said, according to E! News.
Though she promised to continue performing pop music, the Grammy winner revealed her desire to move at a different pace.
“I’m always going to make music. I’m always going to go on stage. I’m always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise,” Grande assured fans, adding “but I don’t think doing it at the rate that I’ve been doing for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years."

Ariana Grande, who debuted on Broadway at the age of 15, described musical theater as her “heart.”
She said her work on 'Wicked' reconnected her with this passion. "I think I love acting; I love musical theater,” Grande shared.
“Reconnecting with this part of myself who started in musical theater and who loves comedy and it heals me to do that," she continued.
"Finding roles to use these parts of myself and put them in little homes and characters and bits and voices and songs,” she explained.
Ariana Grande explores fulfillment through acting roles
Instead of pouring her heart out through songwriting, Ariana Grande said that taking on character roles appeals to her now.
“Finding a character and putting the pieces there and finding little homes for them there and then them coming back and feeding you and teaching you new things through performing the act of being Glinda... it really feeds you,” she shared, speaking of her 'Wicked' character.
“I would love to [do that] in whatever roles we see fit or I can do a good job or honor the material,” she added.
Grande also discussed her upcoming album 'Eternal Sunshine' that was recorded towards the end of 'Wicked' filming which premiers on November 22, according to Billboard.
Reflecting on her 2020 album 'Positions', Grande acknowledged her fans’ initial mixed response. “I just got like, ‘This is not what we want’ vibes… But I love them for it,” she said.
