WASHINGTON, DC: Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama has officially endorsed Donald Trump.

On Wednesday, September 4, the Kenyan-American slammed the first Black president and voiced his support for the Republican presidential nominee once again.

“I am Malik Obama. I'm a registered Republican and I'm voting for president Donald Trump,” he announced on X.

Barack and Malik Obama's strained relationship

Barack Obama’s relationship with his brother Malik has been strained and quite publicly so as the older brother continues to take swipes at him. In his latest post, he called Barack 'fake a*s' while posting a picture with him together.

Malik recently referred to Barack as “fake as a snake” and alleged his brother had “sold his soul to the devil.”

This public spat is just the latest in a long line of grievances Malik has aired about the former president, reports Shore.

Malik, who was the Best Man at Barack’s wedding, claims his brother has changed after success, making him arrogant.

The elder of Obama's brothers endorsed Trump during the 2016 campaign too. “He appeals to me and also I think that he is down to earth and he speaks from the heart and he is not trying to be politically correct. He's just straight-forward,” he said at the time.

Donald Trump's followers praise Malik Obama for endorsing him

Internet shared their take on Barack Obama's half brother Malik yet again supporting Donald Trump. A few also mentioned Walz's younger brother Jeff endorsing Trump as well.

One person shared on X, "I'm hoping to see you along with the Walz relatives at a Trump rally soon!" referring to Tim Walz's family endorsing Trump too.

"You should hang with the Walz family who is also voting Trump .. that would be the best and funniest picture ever !!! 🔥🔥🔥" another joined.

"Thank you, Malik. It’s so important that everyone register to vote at their current address. AND check their voter status. Obama 4 Trump," another praised.

"Obama supports Trump, what a crazy 2024 headline 😂" one poked fun in comment section.

A Trump supporter felt, "Thank You for your support ! We need your help to end the massive CORRUPTION plaguing the United States of America before it’s completely overrun by Communism."

"I guess Thanksgiving dinners at the Obama household must be more exciting than a Netflix political drama. Bold move, Malik!" one joked.
