NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Barron Trump is apparently off the market now as President Donald Trump’s youngest son has found a new girlfriend at NYU after struggling to fit in on campus.
A source on campus recently revealed that the 19-year-old has started dating a mystery girl with whom he enjoys his quiet college life at NYU, where he recently concluded his freshman year, according to a NewsNation report.
Barron Trump leads a 'pretty apolitical' life and prefers to stay out of the limelight
The anonymous tipster did not reveal any additional details regarding Barron Trump's claimed new love interest, but did provide some insight into the first son's social life.
“Barron has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot. He does have friends he just (unlike his father Donald Trump) screws the limelight,” they told the outlet.
Barron is apparently ditching his father's personality in favor of living more like his mother, Melania Trump, who has a reputation for keeping a low-key profile and avoiding the spotlight.
“He is much more like his mother, Melania — he keeps his head down and gets on with it. He is not trying to be BMOC (big man on campus),” the tipster revealed.
Notably, Barron is also staying away from politics, unlike his famous family. "Barron is pretty apolitical — he doesn't get involved,” the insider clarified, adding, "That's not what he’s interested in.”
This narrative coincides with the account given to Vanity Fair in February by Kaya Walker, the former president of the NYU chapter of the College Republicans, who claimed the 19-year-old was reclusive.
"He goes to class, he goes home," she told the magazine, adding that Barron was "sort of like an oddity on campus."
Walker was compelled to quit the club shortly after these sentiments became public.
Barron Trump's mysterious love life
Barron Trump’s hush-hush love life has been a topic of discussion ever since the teenager came into the spotlight.
Last year, when the president was asked about his youngest son’s love life, he said, “I’m not sure he’s there yet. I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet.”
The 78-year-old commander-in-chief went on to call his youngest child “very smart,” a “very nice guy,” and a “good student.”
“He doesn’t mind being alone, but he’s somebody that gets along with people,” the MAGA leader said during his appearance on Patrick Bet-David’s 'PBD Podcast'.
However, questions were raised over Trump’s claims after a TikTok user named Maddie alleged to have earlier dated Barron.
"I went to school with Barron Trump, and he was my first bf. When Trump was elected, he brought the entire class to the White House," she said in a video, according to the Irish Star.
An online user, claiming to be an alumna of Maddie and Barron's school, backed Maddie's account and expressed her adoration for Barron.
Maddie also revealed that they eventually went their separate ways as Barron moved to Florida, where he attended Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach for high school.
