PENNSYLVANIA: President Joe Biden riled voters during a series of campaign stops in Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 7, addressing concerns about his age and fitness for a second term head-on.

At an event in Harrisburg, Biden told a supporter, “Dark Brandon is coming back,” referring to a meme that has become a unifying force among his supporters.

Despite facing increasing calls from some members of Congress to step aside following a shaky debate performance in June, Biden remains confident in his appeal to voters.

“We’ve been drawing big crowds. Ever since the debate, not joking, even that night we had big crowds afterwards,” he said.

Downplaying his critics in Congress, Biden added, “I got John Fetterman, I don’t need much else,” reported The Hill.

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa), a staunch supporter, campaigned alongside the President and has been vocal in his backing.

Joe Biden remains resolute in his re-election bid

Following a private meeting between Joe Biden and Democratic governors at the White House, the President faces increasing calls to step aside due to concerns about his age and mental fitness.

Despite these challenges, Biden has reaffirmed his intent to run and win again, dismissing criticisms of his recent debate performance. “I’m not letting one 90-minute debate wipe out three and a half years of work,” he asserted.

During the 90-minute televised debate, Biden frequently mumbled, trailed off mid-sentence, and struggled to articulate his points.

Donald Trump seized the opportunity to ridicule Biden's occasionally unclear statements. The incumbent frequently stumbled during his responses and, at one instance, paused before stating, "I beat Medicare."

Joe Biden optimistic about America’s future despite age concerns

Nevertheless, Joe Biden remains adamant about continuing his campaign despite mounting pressures. House Democrats are set to discuss his campaign strategy, and Senator Mark Warner (D-Va) has planned meetings with Senate Democrats to consider urging the President not to seek reelection.

Earlier in the day, at a church event in Philadelphia, Biden laughed off age-related concerns, joking, “I know I look 40,” before adding, “I’ve been doing this a long time.”

He conveyed optimism about America’s future, stating, “I, honest to God, have never been more optimistic about America’s future if we stick together.”

Netizens mock Joe Biden after his 'Dark Brandon' joke

Critics on the internet brutally mocked President Joe Biden for his use of the "Dark Brandon" meme during a campaign event in Pennsylvania.

One social media user wrote, "It's going to be really dark for him in November, when he losses extremely badly."

Another stated, "Dork Brandon."

One person claimed, "It ain’t working."

"Biden thinks it Halloween and it’s time to play dress up," another added.

"As opposed to Orange Brandon," one individual said while mocking the President.
