HAMPTONS, NEW YORK: The Biden campaign is working diligently to mitigate the widespread panic following the President's unfavorable debate performance, with top party officials organizing a call with members to alleviate their concerns, according to sources.

On Saturday, June 29, as Joe Biden mingled with major donors in the Hamptons, the Democratic National Committee conducted an impromptu call.

Impromptu call aimed to minimize debate and dismiss any discussion

This call, spearheaded by Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez and DNC chairman Jaime Harrison, aimed to calm the fear and frustration following Biden's performance during the presidential debate held on June 27 with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“They are trying to minimize the debate as much as possible,” a source told The New York Post. “It was meant to indirectly dismiss any discussion,” the source said and added, “It was matter of fact, we are moving forward.”

Invitations for the call were issued on Friday, June 28, after a performance that depicted an unsteady Biden, aged 81, appearing weak and confused.

There was only one "passing reference to the debate" in the 45-minute conversation. It was a quote from President Biden's Friday, June 28, rally in North Carolina, where he stated, “I don’t walk as easily as I used to, I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth,” The sources claimed.

DNC claims the call was merely a regular quarterly meeting

A DNC spokesperson attempted to minimize the significance of the call, informing The Post that it was merely one of the regular quarterly meetings where Chair Harrison updated on the latest fundraising figures and summarized the week's events.

The discussion encompassed the debate, “when President Biden outlined a positive vision to drive progress and Donald Trump lied through his teeth and refused to accept the results of the election,” DNC’s Hannah Muldavin remarked.

While pundits and numerous news outlets, such as the New York Times editorial board, have urged Biden to step down, the party continues to stand firm.

The conversation focused on advancing the campaign, according to sources. “They were saying the energy is amazing. It was the standard talk you would give.”

However, our source claimed that the call was “obviously thrown together last minute to stem any discontent from the debate.”  The source claims, “They will try and treat it routinely, but it was not routine.”

Alessandra Biaggi and Joel Wertheimer urge Joe Biden to withdraw from race

After Joe Biden's dismal performance in the debate on Thursday, the Democratic establishment seemed to have lost faith in him.

Former Bronx state senator Alessandra Biaggi and former Obama associate staff secretary Joel Wertheimer immediately urged the aging president to withdraw from the race on social media.

Throughout the 90-minute discussion, the octogenarian faltered and made a number of mistakes, such as claiming that his son Beau, who passed away in the US from cancer, "died in Iraq" and that he "beat Medicare."

In addition, his voice sounded soft and scratchy, which aides claimed was due to a cold.

At the debate's conclusion, First Lady Jill Biden quickly came to assist her husband off the stage—a gesture some spectators interpreted as a demeaning moment for the President.

Nonetheless, over half of the debate audience left with diminished confidence in President Biden's leadership abilities compared to his rival, according to a Schoen Cooperman Research poll released Saturday, June 29.

Of the 500 registered voters surveyed, 51% believed Trump outperformed Biden, with just over half indicating that Biden's performance was more troubling than anticipated.

Moreover, nearly three-quarters of the voters expressed increased concern about Biden's age and suitability for the presidency after the debate.

Biden campaign's attempt to minimize damage mocked on social media

As soon as the news went viral on social media, users started mocking Joe Biden. A user said, "Working overtime? They’re gonna kill the poor guy."

Another user mocked, "You mean Jill Biden working overtime…."

Another commentator wrote, "Biden's team may be working overtime, but we are not fooled. Biden is a complete disaster and the world know it."

"He has offset dementia it's over," One said.

A person stated, "The damage was done live. Joe is finished."
