News of Lee's hospitalization emerged earlier this week, when a GoFundMe page organized by family friend Kori Smith revealed that she was in “critical but stable condition” after suffering “a series of cardiac arrests.”
The fundraiser described the situation as a "sudden health crisis" and said that her recovery would be "long and challenging."
As of Friday, more than $31,000 of the $40,000 goal had been raised to cover medical expenses, recovery support, and travel and lodging for family members.
'Big Brother' legacy and tributes from castmates
Lee was a contestant on 'Big Brother' season 27, which aired from July to September.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and based in Atlanta, Georgia, she entered the house as an event curator and creative professional.
She spent 59 days on the show and was evicted during her eighth week, becoming the final houseguest eliminated before the jury phase.
“I prefer it this way,” Lee told Gold Derby after her eviction. “I get to go out and live my life a little bit before coming back for finale.”

According to information shared on the fundraiser, Lee’s cardiac arrests stemmed from complications related to the flu.
Just two weeks before her hospitalization, Lee had posted photos of herself on Instagram, appearing healthy and upbeat, captioning one post with, “Good genes…”
She also shared quotes, reading, “I highly recommend not caring,” and, “My waist is small, my face is gorgeous, my soul is pure, and God loves me so I don’t really care about the rest.”
