WASHINGTON, DC: Meghan McCain, known for her outspoken views and recent departure from ABC's 'The View', ignited a firestorm of criticism after attempting to assign blame to First Lady Jill Biden for President Joe Biden's lackluster performance in the first 2024 presidential debate.

Following Biden's widely criticized showing, McCain took to Twitter to express her frustration. "Our country is on the precipice of an absolute crisis and democrats aren’t going to be able to just shriek and point at Trump this time," she tweeted during the debate.

Later, McCain added, "I have been shunned, called a traitor to my family, disinvited places because I kept sounding the alarm Joe Biden is too old to be President. I will never forgive the media and DNC propagandists for putting Americans in this position and signaling to our enemies how weak we are."

However, it was her Friday morning tweet targeting Jill that sparked the most controversy. McCain wrote, "Jill Biden will not be remembered kindly in American history," drawing swift backlash across social media platforms. Critics pointed out McCain's history of invoking her late father, Sen John McCain (R-AZ), in discussions, often to deflect or emphasize her points.

A social media user tweeted, "Neither is your father."

Another said, "Neither will you who covered for him for the past three-plus years, all because of your hatred for Donald Trump."

A third claimed, "Yes she will be. She is a lovely lady."

"You are so annoying. You may be reaching the 'Marjorie Taylor Greene Zone," read a tweet.

"And you played your part too," claimed a user.

"She will. Former Second Lady. First Lady. Educator. But you won’t as of now. The bratty kid of an American hero who seems to have an air of self-importance that is not based on any significant merit of your own. And you disrespect people who have shown you kindness," stated a user.
