Britney Spears’ estranged sons have reunited with her as child support 'money was cut off', says source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pop icon Britney Spears is going through a bittersweet period in her personal life with the return of her estranged boys, Jayden, 18, and Sean Preston, 19.
The 43-year-old pop princess is thrilled to have her sons back in her life, but sources have questioned the boys' intentions after observing that they chose to reconnect with their mother when her child support payments to their father, Kevin Federline, stopped.

Britney Spears' estranged sons Sean and Jayden appear 'after the money was cut off'
Britney Spears' public demeanor and social media presence reportedly caused her boys to distance themselves from her for years. However, her sons reunited with their famous mother after Spears' huge child support payments to their father abruptly stop.
An insider told Radar Online, "As if by magic, Sean and Jayden have appeared after the money was cut off. Fans are saying it, her friends have said it, and they want Britney to beware!"
After nearly 20 years of paying Federline $40,000 a month in child support—later lowered to $20,000—Spears' financial responsibilities ended in November 2024, when Jayden graduated from high school.
"For years, these boys would have nothing to do with her, they were embarrassed by her and hated the way she flaunted her body on social media," the source added.
"Now the child support has ended and they seemingly want their mom back in their lives," the insider spilled further.
Some of Spears' closest confidants are concerned that her sons' abrupt return would be exploitative. The insider said, "She’s putting on a show of maternal pride and clearly, she needs to be needed."
"While she says there’s nothing to the talk, there’s a lot of concern. Her friends hope she doesn’t throw too much money at them, which would create an opportunity for them to take advantage of her!" the source noted.
Britney Spears 'never lost hope' that she would reconnect with estranged sons
The 'Toxic' singer, meanwhile, was overjoyed that Jayden and Sean stayed with her over the holidays. "Best Christmas of my life!!! I haven't seen my boys in 2 years!!!" she wrote as the caption for a video she posted on social media.
"Tears of joy and literally in shock every day, koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!! I'm speechless thank you Jesus!!!" she added.

According to sources, Jayden took the initiative to get in touch with Spears after returning to California from Hawaii, where he had been living with Federline.
"Jayden is spending time back in California but does not live with Britney. All of his friends are still in California and he wanted to come back after graduating high school. Jayden reached out to Britney and initiated the conversation," a different source said.
"He is open to mending the relationship with his mom and seeing where things go. It's going to take time and will not be an immediate reconciliation. They have seen each other twice and (it) was very brief," the source added.

Sources claimed that Spears "never lost hope" that she could rekindle her relationship with her estranged sons, despite the fact that they moved to Hawaii with their father last year.
Jayden went to see his mother in California. The insider described Jayden's time with his mother together, saying: "It made her so happy to spend one-on-one time together and just hang out."
It was "wonderful" for Spears to meet her son, the source continued, adding that she was "hopeful their bond will continue to grow and she’ll be able to spend more time together with both of her boys".
The insider also stated that the pop diva "spent a lot of time with him talking and laughing," adding, "It was really nice for Britney to enjoy quality time with her son."
