Britney Spears is 'happy' spending time by herself with few close friends who check in on her: Source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears is seemingly happy to keep a small social circle.
An insider told OK! Magazine that the 43-year-old pop star leads a lonely life and has decided to surround herself with only a few trusted people who truly care about her well-being.
Insider reveals Britney Spears' social circle
The source claimed, "Britney is a happy person, but she does spend a lot of time alone."
Those close to her were people she worked with regularly, and a handful of others. "Britney is close with her hairstylist and her assistant, but I don’t see her hanging out day-to-day with anyone else," they shared.
The source also commented on the fickle nature of Spears' mood, stating, "She (can be) all over the place, and very hot and cold — (she's either) on top of the world happy or crying because of a paparazzi photo."
However, she has "a few close friends that check in on her daily," and socialite Paris Hilton is among them.
"They text often and see each other every once in a while. Britney loves babies, so meeting Paris' kids was very exciting for her," the tipster shared, referring to Hilton's children, Phoenix and London.
Spears has also grown tired of being under the intense scrutiny of the paparazzi in Hollywood and has expressed a desire to move to Mexico.
"She wants to leave LA because she hates how paps take photos of her. It's a big source of tension in her life," the source revealed.
Britney Spears is tired of people saying they're concerned about her
Britney Spears recently went on a rant on Instagram about being tired of people saying they were concerned about her.
"If they only knew how severe my sadness is. It is a f**king miracle from God that I played and danced, period. It is insane!!! I didn’t think I was gonna go at all. I was that sad," wrote the 'Toxic' hitmaker in the caption.

"There’s so much I haven’t even shown but it saddens me people say mean things about me. I’m so dead sick of people saying they are concerned and if you don’t like the way I move, f***k off and don’t watch it!!!" she exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Spears' inner circle has reportedly been worried about the star not prioritizing her mental health, as another source shared, "Britney is brushing off new concerns for her well-being and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone – even though there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle."
"Britney seems to want it both ways and does all sorts of other wacky stuff and then complains when people take notice," they added.
