Brooke Shields recalls awkward call from daughter confirming her 'best kiss' with JFK Jr
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooke Shields has shared about “a weird” moment she experienced after the release of hit tv series, ‘Love Story: JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette’.
The limited FX series about the romance and tragic deaths of John F Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette has been getting a lot of attention. But there was one mention in the show that felt different to Shields’ daughters – Rowan, who worked as a production assistant on the show, and Grier Henchy.

The actress, 60, shared with PEOPLE that “we did watch it. I mean, I was mentioned in Love Story so that was a little weird because I was away, and my daughter called me and she says, ‘Oh my God, you’re mentioned in Love Story,’ and she’s like, ‘Is it true?’”
In the show, Paul Anthony Kelly’s Kennedy Jr tells Sarah Pidgeon’s Carolyn about his kiss with Shields, and her daughters wanted to verify it.
“I was like, ‘OK, I'd be happy to tell you all the stories if you want,’” ‘The Blue Lagoon’ star told her children as she added, “but—yes.”

Shields, however, also noted that her history with Kennedy Jr did not impress her girls much.
She added, “I'm their mother so it's easier to make fun of me or it’s easier to say, ‘Ugh mom, okay fine, we get it. You were big in the 80s and the 90s,’ because otherwise then, I’m sort of the property of everybody else.”
Brooke Shields had 'real date' with JFK Jr
This came after in 2023, Shields had opened up about her short romance with Kennedy Jr on ‘The Howard Stern Show’.
“We did have a real date. He kissed me, and it was like the best kiss I've ever had in my life. It was beyond not-disappointing,” the president of the Actors' Equity Association recalled.
She further revealed that the late attorney’s “lips are beautiful, and the face is amazing, and the body and the person, and he was down to earth and funny and irreverent.”
However, Shields did not end up in bed with Kennedy Jr because she “was like, 'Oh, my God, you're falling in love, and if you sleep with him he may not talk to you again—and you can't handle that.”
“I wasn't playing a game. I really was just so afraid of being really hurt. Because if I slept with him I would've given him my entire universe, my heart, my everything,” the ‘Endless Love’ actress told Stern.
