'Rest up Bruce': Bruce Springsteen's fans pray for his health after rocker postpones shows for voice rest
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bruce Springsteen has been postponing a few shows in Prague and Milan after he has been advised by a doctor to rest his voice.
After canceling the Saturday, May 25 show in Marseille, the 74-year-old rocker and his group, The E Street Band, are to miss their shows in two other European cities after Springsteen called in sick.

The New Jersey native - who was recently shaded by Donald Trump in a rally - and The ESB shared a long post on Instagram informing their fans about the change in plans and explained that the doctor advised the septuagenarian rocker not to perform for at least 10 days.
In the statement, they shared that the band has to postpone their May 28 show in Prague along with the double shows in Milan, dated June 1 and 3. Meanwhile, they are looking forward to resuming the tour on June 12 in Madrid.
The update reads, “Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band to Postpone Prague and Milan Shows Under Doctor's Direction, European Stadium Tour Resumes June 12 in Madrid.”
The post explained, “Following yesterday's postponement in Marseille due to vocal issues, further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days.”

“With this in mind, additional postponements are required for Airport Letnany in Prague (originally scheduled for May 28) and San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3),” added the post, and promised, “New dates for these shows will be announced shortly.”
They further added that fans are eligible for refunds should they choose so.
They highlighted that the ‘My Hometown’ rocker is “recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”
Earlier, it was reported that Springsteen performed at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on Wednesday, May 22, amid heavy rain.

As he was honored at London’s Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday, May 23, he recalled, “We just came on the plane, came out of plane in Sunderland last night, hellacious weather,” per Sunderland Echo.
Previously, in last September, Springsteen had to miss a few of his US shows because of him suffering from peptic ulcer, per TMZ.

While Springsteen's health crisis saddened his fans, they were also supportive of the singer. Commenting on his Instagram update, fans prayed for his quick recovery.
One of the fans said, "Nooooooooooooo 😢 I was waiting the concert in Milan!! Hope the Boss will get back soon!!"
Someone else recalled his performance in Sunderland, "I was there in Sunderland, he sacrificed himself for that show."
Another fan explained, "It's the way he sings and what he puts into each song...Bruce gives it his all. then there are scales, etc. He gave it his all at Sunderland in the rain for 3 hours. He fought until the end to honor the show. Sad for traveling fans, first time fans, everyone really," before adding hopefully, "The next concerts will be grandiose. ❤️."

Someone else shared, "I was in Marseille and it would be my first Bruce show ever! The people went to bars and pubs and kept singing his songs very enthusiastically. I hope he recovers soon to spread his magic around!"
Another understanding fan wrote, "Love you Bruce…feel better soon! We all know how hard this is for you ❤️."

Someone else chimed in, "I was in Marseille yesterday ! What a heartbreaking news! I was devastated ! But health comes first!! Get well Bruce and come back soon!!"
