Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming celebrates 50th with Demi Moore after planning Bruce-inspired party
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Model and actress Emma Heming celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday, June 20, surrounded by family and friends, including actor Bruce Willis ex-wife Demi Moore and stepdaughter Tallulah Willis.
The caregiver advocate later revealed that the milestone celebration was not originally planned but ultimately went ahead in a way believed to reflect what Willis would have wanted, with photos from the gathering showing her alongside Moore and Tallulah.

The birthday gathering featured a taco truck, margaritas, a two-tiered cake, and a large crowd of loved ones. However, Heming revealed in her Instagram caption that she originally had no plans to celebrate because of her husband's ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Recalling that a friend repeatedly asked, “What are we doing for your 50th?” she said adding, “My answer was always the same, nothing. If I’m honest, I’m not in a particularly social or celebratory season of life.”
She continued. However, her friend persisted, and the two eventually “started imagining what a celebration might look like. Friends and family gathered at home, Tacos. Margaritas. Chocolate cake. And not the dense, fancy kind. The fluffy Duncan Hines kind, cause that’s my fav.”
Reflecting on the experience, she added, “The more I thought about it, the more I realized that milestones really matter. And if there’s one worth celebrating, it’s 50.” She also revealed that she found herself “thinking about what Bruce would have done for my 50th.”
She shared, “If you knew what he did for my 40th, you’d know there would have been a massive celebration. So we had one.”
According to her, friends and family “took over” and “pulled off a night [she’ll] never forget.”
“A home filled with family and friends who have witnessed so many chapters of my life,” she wrote of the celebration adding, “People who have shown up for me, time and time again, with love, loyalty, authenticity and understanding. It was a beautiful way to welcome 50. The Knicks won that night too.”
Emma Heming reflects on Bruce Willis' journey and FTD advocacy
On Thursday, Heming also shared a heartfelt tribute to Willis on Instagram, including a video showing him entertaining their daughters with a playful rendition of “Happy Birthday” during a previous celebration. Another photograph showed the couple embracing while wearing party hats.
Reflecting on her journey, she wrote, “My 40s were heavy, yet I’m proud of how far I’ve come as a wife, mom, care partner, and advocate.” She also expressed pride in the work being carried out through the 'Emma & Bruce Willis Fund,' adding that she is “also proud of the work we’re doing through the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund and what lies ahead.”
“Together, we’re raising awareness of FTD, supporting caregivers, and advancing education and research,” she continued.
Willis, with whom Heming shares daughters Mabel and Evelyn, retired from acting in 2022 following an aphasia diagnosis. A year later, in 2023, the family, including Moore and daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, announced that the actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Since then, she has become an advocate for individuals affected by the condition and their caregivers. Earlier this year, while announcing the fund for dementia research and caregiver support, she said, “This journey has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face when a loved one is living with frontotemporal dementia.”
