CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: Caleb Harris, a student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, "vanished" last week, according to his parents, after going to pick up his Uber Eats order.

Since Harris, 21, was last seen outside his apartment complex, The Cottages, which advertises housing for A&M students, just before three in the morning on March 4, Corpus Christi police have been searching for him for a week.

Caleb Harris was preparing for school and an impending fishing trip

"Roommate got a new dog, and so, from 10 [pm] on, they were playing with the dog. We do have some video of them playing with the dog," Randy Harris, Caleb's father, said in a Fox News Digital interview.

He went on to say, "He was preparing for the next afternoon. He had ordered from a convenience store his lunch for the next day, which is very normal. … He's a creature of habit, so it was very normal for him to do that."

When Caleb went to walk the new dog around his apartment complex at around 2:45 am, his family claims they received "different Snapchats" from him.

Randy claimed that he never came back to his apartment after putting the dog back inside just before three in the morning and leaving to wait for his Uber Eats order to arrive.

Police in Corpus Christi claim that although Caleb had his phone with him at the time, it was "turned off." According to Randy, the Uber Eats delivery was marked as finished.

"He kind of vanished. There's no evidence of wrongdoing, but there's no evidence at all. And so it's a matter of looking at every inch, everything we could possibly think of," he added. "It is a mystery."

His son was "preparing" for a lot of things, including school and an impending fishing trip, according to the worried father. Additionally, he had just signed a new lease for his apartment, making it seem unlikely that he would be moving out.

Caleb Harris's home, described as a college-oriented apartment

Caleb's home was characterized by Randy as "any other college-oriented apartment complex." The building is "very close" to the TAMUCC campus, he said, but it is not owned by the school.

On March 8, before Caleb went missing, his mother Becky Harris had gone to see her son in Corpus Christ as she told Fox News Digital.

"He likes to fish, and he likes to be with people and that kind of thing. … He's fun-loving. He is joyful. And everybody says he's a very likable person," Becky said.

Asking how their family is feeling at the moment, Becky replied that all they are hoping for is that their son "comes home safe."

The Corpus Christi Police Department's number to report any information regarding Harris' disappearance is 361-886-2840 or 361-886-2600. The university police's number for tips is 361-825-4444.
