WASHINGTON, DC: Political commentator Candace Owens has launched a scathing attack against President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner over their plan to build a luxury resort on an island in Albania. She claims the couple is using a fake "spiritual" story to hide the fact that they are just trying to make more money.

However, this attack ignores the viewpoint of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, who fully supports the project as a major investment for his country. He believes the backlash is not about the environment or the island, but is simply because people have a political bias against the Trump family.

Owens ridicules the story behind the Albania resort

Candace Owens used her podcast to mock how Ivanka described finding the island while on a boat trip.

She rejected the idea that Ivanka is just an innocent wife, saying, “I guess we’re supposed to think Ivanka is just his innocent wife or something. Like, you could just be married to Henry Kissinger, and it’s all good because you smile and you pretend like you’re just being moved spiritually.”

Owens sarcastically mimicked Ivanka’s explanation, suggesting the couple is only focused on spending money earned from their controversial political ties, adding, “What are we going to do with all this money that we’ve now earned from this genocide? Well, we’re going to buy an island.”

Owens labels the project a 'clean' image campaign

The commentator argued that the couple uses a soft public image to cover up their business dealings.

Owens suggested that the luxury resort is meant to make their actions look acceptable, stating, “Ivanka is supposed to make you feel like it’s clean, right? Like, you can commit a genocide and then feel really squeaky clean about yourself and spiritual.”

She framed the entire development as a symbol of the couple’s extreme wealth and alleged lack of care for those suffering in global conflicts, insisting that they are prioritizing their own financial gain above everything else.

Perspective of the Albanian Government

While Owens highlighted protests against the project, she left out the fact that the leader of Albania sees things very differently.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has defended the development as a great deal for his nation and has pointed out that the protesters are mostly driven by their dislike for the Trump name.

As Rama told Politico, “If it was not Jared, they would not give anything about what is happening in Albania.”

Despite this, Owens concluded her argument by claiming that the project proves the Trump family has abandoned average people to become billionaires, stating, “He’s just completely sold out the American people for Israel, for his family. They’re going to be billionaires. They’re going to buy islands.”
