LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cardi B fired back at Elon Musk for calling her a "puppet" after her speech at Kamala Harris' Milwaukee, Wisconsin rally on Friday, November 1.

The rapper endorsed the Democratic presidential nominee during the event, saying she believed in every word that came out of the vice president's mouth, as per The Express Tribune.

Cardi B gives fiery response to Elon Musk's 'puppet' remark

Sharing a clip of Cardi B speaking at the rally, Elon Musk took a jibe at her on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words. The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy."

In the video, the rapper appeared to face a teleprompter glitch, leading to a brief delay. A person had to step in and hand her a phone with the necessary talking points so that she could complete her endorsement speech.

In response to Musk's comment, the 'Drip' hitmaker wrote, "I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a** off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you."

She added, "But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm."

Cardi B reveals she was not planning to vote this year

At the 'When We Vote We Win' concert event in Milwaukee, Cardi B revealed that she was not planning to vote this year, but Kamala Harris taking over as the Democratic presidential candidate changed her mind, as per Sky News.

The 'Bongos' singer explained, "[Harris] changed my mind completely. I did not have faith for any candidate until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear — things I want to see next in this country. I believe in every word that comes out of her mouth."

"She’s passionate, she’s compassionate, she shows empathy, and most of all, she is not delusional," added Cardi B.

Referring to Donald Trump as "Donny Dump," the rapper criticized the former president's comments about protecting women.

She said, "He said he's gonna protect women whether they like it or not. Well, if his definition of protection is not the freedom of choice, if his definition of protection is making sure our daughters have fewer rights than our mothers, then I don’t want it. I'm not giving Donald Trump a second chance."

Internet divided over Cardi B's response to Elon Musk's 'puppet' remark

Netizens had mixed reactions to Cardi B's fiery response to Elon Musk calling her a "puppet" after her speech at Kamala Harris' Milwaukee rally.

One wrote, "Elon is jealous, because he has difficulty giving normal, articulate speeches. Money can’t buy him that skill," while another said, "This is the person who had a song called WAP. Just think if Trump had an endorsement from someone like that."

An individual remarked, "Normalize not caring about celebrity opinions," and one person said, "She thoroughly convinced me to vote for Trump."

"These people are stupid," declared another person. One took a jibe at Musk, writing, "Your puppet And PS fix her algorithm and mine."

"Elon is jealous, because he has difficulty giving normal, articulate speeches. Money can’t buy him that skill," quipped one more.
