LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Celine Dion, the Grammy-winning icon, was deeply moved by Kelly Clarkson’s recent cover of her timeless hit, 'My Heart Will Go On'.

The emotional moment occurred when Clarkson performed the song during her popular 'Kellyoke' segment on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' last month.

Celine Dion praises Kelly Clarkson’s emotional performance

The heartfelt reaction came after Celine Dion watched Kelly Clarkson’s performance, with fans across the internet reacting just as emotionally to the moment.

In the video message, Dion opened by expressing her gratitude for Clarkson’s kind words during the 2024 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

Clarkson, who co-hosted the event, was visibly emotional as Dion performed 'Hymne a l'amour', marking her first public performance in years since her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome.

Dion shared, "Hi, Kelly. When I came back from the Olympics, I got to watch and listen to your reaction to my performance on the Eiffel Tower.”

Dion recalled how Clarkson’s emotional reaction moved her as well. “It was so sweet to hear you, your voice. Your voice was breaking, and it touched me so tremendously,



 

"You were crying, and then you made me start crying. What’s up with all this friggin’ crying?” said Dion, clearly touched by the heartfelt moment as she continued in the video.

Celine Dion then turned her attention to Kelly Clarkson’s stunning performance of 'My Heart Will Go On' which moved her to tears once again.

“And now I just saw you singing 'My Heart Will Go On', and I’m crying again. You were absolutely incredible, fantastic. I loved it so much,” Dion said, offering high praise for Clarkson’s rendition of her classic hit.

Dion ended her emotional message with a hopeful note, saying, “I hope we can see each other in person soon, very soon. And I hope we’re not going to start crying. I love you so much. Thanks. Bye."
