Dressed in a sparkly white dress with her hair slicked back in a low bun, Dion sang in French despite her ongoing health issues, The Sun noted.

The event, held in Paris, France, brought together countries from all around the world to celebrate the Olympics.

The ceremony opened with Lady Gaga performing a French cabaret and singing Zizi Jeanmaire's 'Mon Truc En Plumes.'

Although it was anticipated that Celine would perform alongside Lady Gaga in a duet, it did not happen, leaving fans initially upset, The Mirror noted.

Celine Dion earlier performed at 1996 Atlanta Games

Celine Dion has a history of performing at the Olympics, having sung 'The Power of the Dream' at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

The Olypic Games posted a clip from the past on X noting, "1996 Atlanta performance and now Paris 2024."

Her Friday, July 26, appearance marks her first public performance since canceling her tour in 2023 due to diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome in August 2022.

Upon her arrival in Paris on July 22, Celine was seen waving to fans and appeared in good spirits as she checked into the Royal Monceau hotel.

This fueled rumors of her performing at the games which were confirmed with her breathtaking performance at the Eiffel Tower.

Dion is planning a limited run of shows this fall, reports US Sun.

She will be performing her greatest hits in a 70-minute show at the Resorts World Theatre around the time of the Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix.
