LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chris Brown expressed his frustration with mainstream media and other celebrities calling them "fake" while saying he doesn't need their approval. However, his comment backfired and he was labeled a "narcissist" on social media.

Brown also had a heated exchange with the NBA after being disinvited from a celebrity All-Star game. He voiced his discontent with people judging him based on his past actions.

Chris Brown calls out mainstream media

According to XXL Magazine, Brown appears to be annoyed with the current state of the media and celebrity culture. A now-deleted Instagram story hinted that the American singer feels excluded from A-list parties.

In the post, Brown declared that he no longer seeks validation from the media and considers himself his own biggest supporter. He stated, "I don't want to be accepted from none of the mainstream media and fake celebrities. I am King in my own lane."

He directed his frustrations toward other celebrities, saying, "Your fave aint got s**t and they know it. Aint finna tap dance for approval. You will beg forgiveness of me. That I do know."

According to Fox Soul, this message made Brown appear impulsive, which contradicts the image he's been trying to uphold.

Brown's troubled past has led to less media engagement with him. He has faced multiple accusations of domestic violence throughout his career. As per USA Today, in 2021, he was accused of assaulting a woman during an argument in Los Angeles.

One of the most infamous incidents was his assault on singer Rihanna in 2009, which made headlines.
