NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Chris Evans has finally revealed the much-talked-about 'Avengers' tattoo. The never-before-seen matching ink on Evans has certainly created a buzz. Previously, it was shared that the co-stars of 'Avengers' came up with the iconic tattoo, except for Mark Ruffalo.
Now, as soon as Evans’ 'Avengers' tattoo was revealed by his tattoo artist, Marvel fans seemed to go bonkers. For those unaware, it was Scarlett Johansson, aka Black Widow, who came up with the idea of getting matching ink.

Tattoo artist Josh Lord shared a photo of Evans after giving him his tattoo, which had not been seen before. The tattoo sits on the left side of Evans’ rib cage and is medium-sized. In the photo, Evans can be seen lifting the side of his T-shirt to reveal the ink.

Johansson and Evans were the first among the group to get the black tattoo in New York. The topic of the matching tattoo recently came up during an interview at Comic Con.
Evans also shared during the interview, “We couldn’t get Ruffalo” to agree to the tattoo, which left five actors - Johansson, Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth - as the OGs.
Inside matching ink and why five stars are called Avengers original cast
The 'Avengers' tattoo is considered one of the unique tattoos. It resembles the same style as the symbol on Tony Stark’s tower. Back in 2018, Downey Jr, Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Johansson and Jeremy Renner got matching tattoos as a tribute.
The design features the 'Avengers' logo, a big A, and the number six, representing the six actors who formed the team. Ruffalo was the only original member who did not get the tattoo. They are known as the “Original” Avengers because the team was first created and brought together in Marvel’s 'The Avengers' in 2012 to defeat Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.
Downey Jr’s Tony Stark/Iron Man, Evans’ Steve Rogers/Captain America, Hemsworth’s Thor, Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk, Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye created the team.

They were the core superhero group assembled to become major figures throughout its first phases. Their assembly helped other MCU characters join the team and continue into the later phases.
The matching tattoo means more than a representation of the superhero world. It also celebrates the friendship and connection the actors developed while working together across multiple Marvel films.
