WASHINGTON, DC: Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claims that he predicted President Joe Biden's downfall at the first presidential debate, according to Raw Story.

Before the June 27 debate in Atlanta, when about 50 million people saw Biden stammer and falter in his attempt to win a second term in office and defeat former President Donald Trump, Axios reported that the Democratic leader had covertly courted a few political friends.

Insiders have revealed that Schumer was ready for a disastrous debate with Biden. The debate that took place surprisingly early in the election race appears to have delighted Schumer as it "would give Biden time to recover from a potentially poor showing" and "it would also give the Democratic Party more time to consider the best way forward."

Not many people have come out to publicly name Biden due to the groundswell raising the issue after just one term. However, top leaders like Schumer would need to be involved in persuading the President to sit this one out and allow new leadership to take over.

A spokesman for Schumer said, "Schumer has always supported and continues to support President Biden as the nominee and believes he will be reelected."

Schumer seemed to reaffirm his support for Biden following what was widely regarded as a disastrous debate.

Schumer posted on X, "Tonight's debate made the choice clear: Four more years of progress, or four more years of attacks on our fundamental rights and our democracy. We’ve got to get out the vote for @JoeBiden, @KamalaHarris, and a Democratic Senate and House!"

Even after spending many days at Camp David honing his skills, Biden still struggled to stand out and emphasize his views. The Biden campaign is already working to move past Atlanta. A more animated Biden acknowledged he's lost his stride during a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, but he's still the tough man from Scranton, Pennsylvania, who saved the nation from the plague.

He said, "I don't walk as easy as I used to. I don't speak as well as I used to. I don't debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do well: I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong and I know how to do this job. And I know how to get things done."

Chuck Schumer slammed after reports say he predicted Joe Biden awful debate performance

Several social media users slammed Chuck Schumer after news that he quietly predicted Joe Biden's downfall at the debate.

Some online comments read "Who is Schumer or any Dem to tell PRESIDENT Biden what he should do. I didn't vote for Schumer to be POTUS. He's a f*****g senator. He and the other Dems need to stay in their lane. They don't speak for the voters. Especially not for me" and "How about no more debates, as they are pointless and Trump just lies unchecked."

A user wrote, "Biden has a cold:" We need to replace him! The sky is falling!!!" Trump lies his diaper off like always:" He won the debate"!" while one added, "It takes courage and requires character to own your mistakes. Today Biden proved he has an abundance of both traits. Trying to depose him and his candidacy is a sure and swift road to defeat."

A person also stated, "Hmm I don't recall Schumer saying anything contrary about the Hurr report either" whereas one stated, "Even if they didn't do that, they should have said, you didn't answer the question, when Trump refused to do so. That should have been the bare minimum."
