PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins was seen having a 'deep conversation' with Donald Trump's deputy AG pick, Todd Blanche, during a midday meet-up and insiders believe the president-elect would not be pleased with it.

The CNN star can be seen sitting across the table from the lawyer during their outing in photos posted on the 'unwoke.thoughts' Instagram account, according to Radar Online.

Insider claims Kaitlan Collins, Todd Blanche meet-up 'could infuriate Trump'

An insider revealed to OK Magazine that while the focus of the meeting is unclear, it is possible that the duo discussed Blanche serving as an informant for the TV star.

The source said, "Trump hates anyone in his inner circle being a leak. It’s quite obvious from these pictures that Kaitlin and Todd aren’t talking about the plans for Christmas."

The insider added, "This cozy catch-up could infuriate Trump. He has been caught red-handed being a source to one of CNN’s biggest stars. You don’t look deep in conversation if you’re just catching up and talking about the weather."

The source further claimed, "Todd is an informant on Trump World for Kaitlin — but they’ve been done over by an eagle-eyed onlooker. Next time Kaitlin gets a scoop on the inner workings of the president-elect’s transition, you’d have to finger Todd as the likely culprit.

Notably, both Collins and Blanche have earlier participated in interviews together, including just after Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business documents in his New York hush money trial, per the outlet.

In November 2024, Trump nominated Blanche, who is also his lawyer, as deputy attorney general. If confirmed, this would make him the second-highest-ranking official in the Justice Department.

Trump said in November, "Todd is an excellent attorney who will be a crucial leader in the Justice Department, fixing what has been a broken System of Justice for far too long. Todd prosecuted gangs and other federal crimes as a Chief in the Southern District of New York United States Attorney’s Office, clerked for two Federal Judges, and graduated with Honors from law school, while working full time at the SDNY."

Report claims Kaitlan Collins' job may be at risk as CNN eyes layoffs

An explosive report from Puck revealed that CNN anchors Kaitlan Collins and Anderson Cooper's jobs might be at risk as the media outlet is planning to lay off some of its high-paid staff after dismal election ratings that cap off a disastrous period for the media house.

The laying off comes after the departure of Chris Wallace, and amid reports that senior journalists such as Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper have both been denied raises, per the outlet.

However, there is no mention of who may be on the chopping block. The highest-paid stars currently at CNN are Anderson Cooper, who rakes in $20 million a year, Erin Burnett ($6 million), and rising star Kaitlan Collins ($3 million).

The outlet's Dylan Byers wrote in the report on November 8, "In the next few months, I’m told, CNN will implement another round of layoffs that will impact hundreds of employees across the organization."

Moreover, a source informed the outlet that the fresh round of firings will be focused on the production side of things.

Reporters and correspondents will have to cover their slack and on-air workers will be "asked to assume more of the responsibilities once handled by teams of producers and production assistants," the source said.
