What did Colin Farrell say after the marathon?
The pair participated in the event on Sunday, October 27, with Colin Farrell, managing to push Emma Fogarty, 40, in her wheelchair for the last 2.5 miles until the finish line.
"I have known Emma for many years and she epitomizes bravery, she is what courage and pure determination are all about," Farrell said in a statement after the race, according to The Irish Times.
The 48-year-old star added that the marathon "was nothing compared to the pain" that Fogarty "is forced to endure every single day, even though she doesn’t show it."
"It was an honor to see her waiting for me with 4 km to go, each of those representing a decade of her life, and to do the final stretch together. I’ll never forget it," Farrell further said.

"We're really close; we get on really well. We have a laugh, and we really enjoy each other's company," she said before adding, "And I trust no one, apart from family, more than you to push me that last 4k."
Earlier, Fogarty said she is going to celebrate her 40th birthday despite knowing that people with EB condition rarely live beyond 35.
“This was a dream come true for me and I want to thank Colin, who has been the most supportive, generous, and loyal friend I could wish for. He has always shown his compassion and empathy for people living with EB and is true champion in my eyes," she said in June.
“Running a marathon is never easy but once he committed to it there was no going back, he is a man of his word,” she added at the time.
