Contents of Trump inauguration gift bag revealed as memorabilia from ceremony put up for sale online

WASHINGTON, DC: Items from the commemorative gift bags presented to the VIP invitees at President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony have made their way to online marketplaces less than a week after the event, The Daily Beast reported on Friday, January 24.

Trump took oath as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20 at the Capitol Rotunda. The gift bags, embossed with a sketch of the US Capitol, were presented to those who were invited by POTUS and his family, as per OK! Magazine.



 

What did Trump's inauguration gift bag contai?

The gift bag presented to Trump's personal guests included a special edition bottle of Diet Coke which commemorated his second inauguration. It was first presented to Trump himself by the chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company on January 14.



 

Other items in the bag included a commemorative medal on a wooden stand embossed with the faces of Trump and his vice president, JD Vance; a white canvas tote bag, watch dish, and red leather journal with gold details, all embossed with a sketch of the Capitol building; a Christmas ornament in the shape of the White House; and a red and gold coin.



 

However, an account on X with the username Kenny.manta shared pictures of the items that were in the bag, claiming it included an embossed blanket, commemorative pins, face towel, signed portraits of Trump and Vance, embossed mug, lotion, chapstick, and hand sanitizer, as well as packets of hand warmers.

"Being invited to the inauguration for @realDonaldTrump and @JDVance came with the perks of an amazing swag bag," read the caption to the social media post.

Which item from the inauguration gift bag is available for sale?

According to the Daily Beast, multiple listings of Trump’s inauguration special Diet Coke bottles are present on the online shopping platform eBay, with some sellers asking more than $4,500 for the item.

"RARE! 47th President Donald J Trump Commemorative 60th Inauguration Diet Coke,” read the title of one such listing, where the bottle is marked for $4,574.

"You are looking at an EXTREMELY RARE, Limited Edition Commemorative 60th Inauguration Diet Coke as presented to the 47th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump!” the description states.

"This bottle is 100% AUTHENTIC, Brand New in unopened condition and was acquired at the Presidential Black Tie Liberty Ball on Inauguration Night Jan 20th, 2025. I have included photos from the Gala as taken by myself,” the seller claimed.
