WASHINGTON, DC: Far-right firebrand Laura Loomer took to the social media platform X and claimed that Valerie and Stanley Creighton, the couple in Washington who housed the shooting suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal, had created a GoFundMe page for him earlier.

Two young National Guard soldiers, who had been sworn in less than a day earlier, were ambushed on the streets of Washington, DC, on Wednesday, November 26, in a shocking attack that has rattled the entire nation.

Laura Loomer took to X on Thursday, November 27, and wrote "the rich white liberals in Bellingham", referring to Valerie and Stanley Creighton, who allowed the suspect who shot two National Guardsmen to live inside their home, "as they raised money for him and his family, are Democrat donors".

She added that they have since deleted the GoFundMe page they created for the 29-year-old suspect.

"FEC records reveal Valerie has donated to Act Blue, she supported @KamalaHarris @HillaryClinton and @ossoff," Loomer mentioned in her post.

She added that Stanley is the founder of National Veterinary Associates. "I’m told by someone who knows him that he and his wife are extremely wealthy, yet they decided to virtue signal to the community by raising money," for the suspect, she added.

In another post, she shared a screen recording of the GoFundMe page, which has now been deleted. She wrote in the caption that before shooting the two National Guards, Rahmanullah Lakanwal was "was staying at the home of a man named Stanley Creighton in Bellingham".

In the X post, Loomer mentioned that the description for the GoFundMe post read, "This is Stan and Val, and we are fundraising for an Afghan refugee family who stayed at our home for 2 months before finding permanent rental housing in Bellingham, WA."

"This is an opportunity for you to help a truly wonderful family. They left Afghanistan with nothing, and they need household and kitchen items of all kinds. Please give whatever you can to help them start a new life in the US. They are truly genuine, kind people," the GoFundMe post mentioned.

Moreover, Loomer added that the authorities need to "go pay Stan and Val a visit" to find out why they provided the suspect and his family "aid and comfort".

She also tagged @TriciaOhio @KristiNoem, @DHSgov, @FBIDirectorKash, and @FBIDDBongino in her post.

Unarmed National Guardsman used a pocket knife to stop shooting suspect

New reports detailed the heroics of an unarmed National Guardsman, who rushed toward the shooting scene just blocks from the White House, and used a pocket knife to bring down the suspect accused of the attack.

According to Fox News Digital, Lakanwal, the shooting suspect, entered the US legally in 2021 under what was known as Operation Allies Welcome during the Afghanistan withdrawal, via humanitarian parole.

As per new reports, a National Guard major, making his rounds to check in with troops posted nearby, reportedly heard gunfire coming from two blocks away — near 17th and I Streets NW, close to the White House.

Despite being unarmed, the major took cover behind a car and found he had nothing with which to defend himself except a small pocket knife, reports mentioned.

As Lakanwal paused to reload his revolver, the major leapt from cover, stabbed the suspect multiple times, and forced him to the ground. This prevented further violence and possibly saved lives.

Meanwhile, another National Guardsman who had been nearby shot Lakanwal in the buttocks and leg, and, together with the major, subdued the suspect until arrest.
