RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: European soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently shared an unexpected perspective during an interview on the show 'Piers Morgan Uncensored', which aired Tuesday, November 4.

Ronaldo described the discussion with Piers Morgan as his “most personal interview,” openly addressing topics ranging from career milestones to global leadership.

During the interview, Morgan asked Ronaldo about a signed jersey he gave to President Donald Trump in June, which bore the message “playing for peace.” Ronaldo described Trump as “one of the guys that can help to change the world,” highlighting what he perceives as the former president’s expanding influence on the global stage, from conflict resolution to diplomacy.

The comment quickly gained traction on social media, with supporters praising Ronaldo’s message.



Ronaldo is also preparing to compete in several matches on U.S. soil ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Piers Morgan highlights Donald Trump’s media influence

Morgan praised Trump’s style and achievements, noting his ability to engage the media in a way few leaders have matched. He emphasized how Trump maintained a constant presence in international discussions and commanded headlines with unmatched flair.



Morgan added that Trump’s accomplishments often go underappreciated by mainstream coverage, despite their global significance.

Cristiano Ronaldo reflects on career, retirement, and family

Ronaldo also reflected on his recent contract extension with Al-Nassr, calling himself “the first billionaire soccer player.” He explained, “It was my goal to reach that number … I’m not obsessed with the money, but when you reach some level, money doesn’t matter anymore. But it’s always good to have more.”

He addressed his eventual retirement, expressing his desire to spend more time with family. “I will be prepared. It’ll be tough and difficult, of course. Probably I will cry, yes. It will be very difficult … but everything has a beginning and an end, so I’ll be prepared.” He added he wants to be more present for his son Cristiano Junior: “I want to have more time for me, my family … I want to follow Cristiano Junior because he’s at an age where you do stupid things, normal, I did the same.”
