LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cynthia Erivo gave an epic reply to Dax Shepard when he asked if her talon-like nails get in the way of her bathroom duties during a recent podcast interview.

The actress appeared on the 'Armchair Expert' podcast, co-hosted by Shepard and Monica Padman, to discuss her upcoming film, 'Wicked', as per People. The episode was published on Monday, November 18.

Cynthia Erivo shuts down Dax Shepard's 'annoying' questions about her talon nails and bathroom duties

"Can I ask you a really crazy question that's inappropriate?" Dax Shepard began, leading Cynthia Erivo to interject and say, "I knew you would ask that question."

Noting that "no one's afraid to ask" her the specific question, she stated, "My answer is that nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside. You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!"

The host then rephrased his question, "Does the tissue go on the tip of the fingernails, or do you try to get the tissue…" to which the actress said, "Pads of the fingers."

Shepard then said, "Great, great, great, now we’re getting somewhere. Then you’re just feeling the little tickle of the nails on the crack of your b**t sometimes?"

Erivo replied that this was not the case because she uses tissues, leading Shepard to joke that he would make a mitten out of toilet paper if he had nails like Erivo and went on to ask her if she was offended or annoyed by the question.

"I'm annoyed by it. I'm, like, 'Come on, guys'. But I get it, but it's also, like, 'I'm a functioning adult, and I've never walked around smelling like, you know…,'" expressed the 'Harriet' actress, leading Shepard to jokingly ask, "How are you wiping your tush?" to which Erivo replied, "Very well."

Padman chimed in and said that the question was a reflection of the people asking because they couldn’t properly wipe with nails like Erivo’s.

"Here’s the thing, there are people who do not have nails who need to check how they’re wiping," remarked the Tony Award winner.

Cynthia Erivo stuns fans with 'rude' response on red carpet

Cynthia Erivo shocked fans after giving a rude reply to an interviewer on the red carpet during the New York City premiere of 'Wicked'.

Ajay Porter of the Mystery Fashionist asked Cynthia and her co-star, Ariana Grande, which designers they were wearing and to rate their outfits out of 10.

After they replied, the interviewer asked, "What is a common misconception about y'all?" Grande gasped at the question as Erivo rudely said, "I don't know what the common misconception is at all, but that's not a fashion question, is it?"

Interestingly, Erivo found the funny side of the whole incident as she reposted the interview clip to her own Instagram page.

The British actress also made headlines in October after she blasted a "deeply hurtful" poster from 'Wicked' that had been edited by a fan, claiming it had "erased" her as her eyes were hidden in the image.
