LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl reportedly referred to his wife Jordyn Blum as his "future ex-wife" long before he admitted to having an affair and fathering a child "outside" of their marriage.

On Tuesday, September 10, the Foo Fighters frontman announced the news via an Instagram statement. He wrote, "I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

"We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together," he added. Dave disabled the post's comments section.

Dave Grohl called Jordyn Blum 'future ex-wife' years before cheating scandal

According to a Us Weekly report, the 55-year-old rocker, who recently revealed cheating on Jordyn, 48, and fathering a secret daughter, described their initial meeting in 2001 in an interview with Q magazine.

In an interview with Q magazine in 2007, Dave recalled that he felt "not a chance" the night he met his second wife in 2001 at the Sunset Marquis club in West Hollywood, California, and ended up giving her the dubious nickname.

While at the bar with his late bandmate Taylor Hawkins (who died in 2022), the former Nirvana drummer was introduced to Jordyn by a woman.

The Grammy winner felt Jordyn was beyond his skill level right away. "Taylor was the looker. I mean, girls would send him drinks," Dave recounted in a 2007 interview with Q magazine, the now-defunct music publication.

He added, "Some bombshell comes up and starts talking to Taylor. I was just out of a Tenacious D session. I've got Vans trainers on, no socks, dirty shorts, and a dirty T-shirt, surrounded by beautiful Hollywood."

Dave explained that the girl invited Jordyn to join them. He said, "I was like, 'Oh my, God. Not a chance!' So I'm just having some drinks and acting like a jackass."

He laughed loudly, "And by the end of the night I was pissed and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife.’ So she gave me her number: 'Jordyn, your future ex-wife," the magazine reported.

They "saw each other a few times," Dave continued, but he "backed out" when he realized it was "the flag, the finish line."

After rekindling their romance, Jordyn and Dave tied the knot in 2003. Together, they have three daughters -- Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, reported Daily Mail

Dave Grohl ghosted wife Jordyn Blum years before before cheating on her

The Foo Fighters frontman ghosted Jordyn Blum after a couple of dates until his late bandmate Taylor Hawkins' 2001 overdose persuaded him to change his behavior.

Hawkins tragically died more than 20 years later after overdosing fatally in 2022 at the age of 50.

Even though Dave, Jordyn, and their three daughters appear to be a tightly-knit unit in the wake of the baby scandal, the musician did not always favor being a family man, the New York Post reported.

Although Dave admitted that they "saw each other a few times" following the encounter, the former Nirvana drummer claimed he "backed out" when he realized Jordyn was interested.

Dave said, "No, because I wasn’t ready for the flag," in response to the question of if it was because he was "burned" by his first marriage, which ended in divorce in 1997. Dave married photographer Jennifer Youngblood in 1994.

"And then we were in London [in August 2001, before the V festival] and Taylor wound up in hospital. He did some drugs and OD’ed," Dave revealed.

Dave told Elle in 2007, "I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling."

Following Hawkins' 2001 overdose, Dave claimed he returned to his hotel room and saw a familiar face on his TV screen when Hawkins was released from the hospital.

"So I was sitting watching the snooker or something and this commercial comes on for chewing gum – this girl walking through the subway pickpocketing people. All of a sudden I think, ‘That’s that girl Jordyn, that’s that chick!’" Dave told Q Magazine.

"And over the course of the next few days I start having these dreams about that life that I’d been thinking about, settling-down dreams."

The musician claimed that his "changed forever" in just two weeks.

Dave added, "I thought, ‘I’m not waiting one more minute because life’s too f—ing short, man. It’s too delicate'."

"The day we got home I called her up and she said, ‘Wow, I never thought I’d hear from you again.’ So I took her to a restaurant right next door to here. And that was that."
