WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump sent a stern warning to Iran over the possibility of a blockage of the Strait of Hormuz oil route amid the ongoing war. Taking to his Truth Social page, the president claimed that “Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon” Iran if Tehran “stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz.”

“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far,” Trump posted.

He further stated that the US “will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again, Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them.”

He, however, noted that he prays the situation won’t come to that before adding, “This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated.”

Trump also spoke with reporters in Florida on Monday, March 9, as he reiterated his intention to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, which lies between Iran and Oman. The narrow passage of water carries around 20 million barrels per day and approximately one-fifth of global liquefied natural gas.

“We're really helping China here and other countries because they get a lot of their energy from the Straits. We have a good relationship with China. It's my honor to do it,” he stated, as Beijing receives its oil via the strait.

The 79-year-old Republican leader is scheduled to meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping later in March. He told reporters, “I mean, we're doing this for the other parts of the world, including countries like China. They get a lot of their oil through the straits.”

“We have a very good relationship with President XI (Jinping) and China. I'm going there in a short period of time, and we're protecting the world from what these lunatics are trying to do, and very successfully I might add,” Trump added.
