WASHINGTON,DC: Lara Trump found herself facing a workout tougher than expected after joining Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin and Coast Guard personnel for a group fitness session.

Footage from Fox News shared by Mullin on Friday, August 7 shows Lara Trump going through weight exercises inside a large gymnasium as Mullin leads the routine.

She keeps pace with the group, including during a series of overhead dumbbell presses, before Mullin gives her performance his approval.

In the video, Lara Trump joins a large group of participants on the gym floor as they work through synchronized exercises.

At different points, the group drops into push-ups, lifts weights and works through repeated movements while Mullin oversees the session.

Trump is shown doing the exercises alongside the Coast Guard members rather than simply watching from the sidelines.

One sequence captures her completing overhead dumbbell presses while maintaining the same pace as those around her.

Mullin, who has made physical fitness a visible part of his public persona, appears to keep a close eye on the group.

By the end of the session, he had a positive assessment of Lara Trump's effort.

“She stayed in there, didn’t miss a rep, I was impressed,” Mullin said.

He added that it was her first time doing the “nine-by-eight” workout, describing it as a demanding routine.

Trump appeared equally determined not to be treated as the easy participant. “I didn’t come to lose,” she said.

The Fox News host later acknowledged just how challenging the session had been.

Trump also praised Mullin for taking the lead during the workout, joking that he was responsible for “whipping everybody into shape at DHS.”

Mullin, in turn, used the appearance to connect the physical training to the responsibilities of the agencies under his department.

“DHS, we protect the homeland, right?” Mullin said. “So we need to look intimidating because every single day we’re going to work.”

He pointed to the Coast Guard, ICE and Customs and Border Protection as agencies carrying out that mission.

“There’s not a day that we have a rest day,” he said. “There’s not a day that we have a peace day.”

The session was filmed for a segment featuring Trump and Mullin that is scheduled to air Saturday night on “My View with Lara Trump.”
