LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The alleged victims of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, more commonly known as Diddy, are said to be “cooperating” with the authorities as the rapper faces multiple sex trafficking lawsuits.

Amid the accusations, the 54-year-old’s two properties in Los Angeles and Miami were also raided on Monday, March 25, and many items including hard drives and phones were seized.

Officer mentioned disturbing 'history of sex trafficking’ amid Diddy controversy

A Department of Homeland Security officer told The New York Post, “We believe that there is a disturbing history of sex trafficking.”

They also asserted, “We are responding to concrete, detailed, explicit allegations. This is not random. We didn’t choose his name out of a hat. We had allegations that we’re following up on.”

Diddy’s former girlfriend Cassie Ventura was the first one to file a civil suit against him in late 2023.

Though Ventura’s complaint was settled soon, more lawsuits alleging sexual assault were filed.

Officer claimed Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit led to unearthing of more allegations

The unnamed officer revealed, “We became aware of certain allegations during the civil suits against Mr. Combs. You have to understand that we didn’t just decide on a whim to search his homes.”

“A federal judge had to sign off. This isn’t a witch hunt,” they noted, before explaining, “There are specific communications that we are aware of that we will be able to access on the electronics.”

The Homeland Security agent mentioned the alleged victims as well.

They stated, “That’s a funny thing about victims. They may be reluctant to speak at first, but once they start talking, they talk. They talk a lot.”

“We are getting a lot of cooperation from a lot of people who want to see him brought to justice,” they added.

However, the official said that even though the record producer is a free man currently, “if charges come down, we will get him — wherever he is.”

Diddy’s lawyer calls raids ‘a witch hunt’

This came after Diddy’s lawyer slammed the authorities following the raids.

Aaron Dyer reportedly said, “Yesterday, there was an excessive use of force resembling military tactics during the execution of search warrants at Mr. Combs' residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”

“This unprecedented ambush – paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence – leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,” the lawyer added.
