NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Savannah Guthrie has issued a new emotional plea to the person believed to have abducted her mother, Nancy Guthrie, urging them to "do the right thing" as the search for the missing 84‐year‐old stretches to nearly six months.

The 'Today' show co-host shared the heartfelt appeal in an Instagram video on Monday, July 27, saying her family continues to live through an "unending nightmare" since Nancy disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of February 1.

Savannah Guthrie begs mom's abductor to 'tell us where to look for her'

"I'm coming on today with a very specific message," Savannah said in the video. "It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end."

Addressing the person who may have taken her mother, Savannah made a direct appeal.

"The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way," she said. "So I am asking you — begging you — to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her."

"I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing. Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we've been and what we've done, I believe there is always a way home," she added, 

Authorities believe Nancy was abducted by an intruder from her home near Tucson. 

Savannah Guthrie's plea comes weeks after mystery note 

Savannah's latest appeal comes just over a month after she made an emotional appearance on the 'Today' show following reports that a second anonymous note had been sent to media outlets regarding her mother's disappearance.

The note claimed Nancy had died but reportedly contained neither an apology nor any demand for payment in exchange for the release of her body.

At the time, Savannah urged anyone with information to come forward, saying her family was living in constant agony while continuing the search.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about Nancy's disappearance to contact the FBI. Savannah and her family are also offering a $1 million reward for information leading to Nancy's recovery.
