DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Former US president Donald Trump once again found himself at the center of social media discussions, but this time, the focus wasn’t on his political views.

During a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan, on Thursday, October 10, videos began circulating that seemed to capture Trump passing gas while delivering his speech, as per OK Magazine.

Critics quickly seized the opportunity to mock the former president, leading to a wave of viral reactions online.

Social media erupted after several videos surfaced, purporting to catch the exact moment Trump may have had an embarrassing slip-up on stage.

One of the most widely shared clips came from Aaron Rupar, an independent journalist, who posted the video on X (formerly Twitter).

Rupar wrote, "Lmao what was that sound?" alongside the footage, which left his followers in hysterics.

The potential gaffe sparked a wave of comments, with critics of the former president having a field day.

One person remarked, "This speech did not pass the smell test." Another said, "The flies tormenting him at every rally make much more sense."

"Trump was ranting about politics, paused to fart loudly, and then resumed his rant!!! He truly reminds me of an elderly man at a HOA board meeting in Florida," wrote one person.

Another added, "OMG, Trump is old AF. He merely pauses, FARTS loudly, and then resumes ranting about politics... just like my Grandpa used to do after he ate too much at Thanksgiving."

Another pointed out, "Off loading those hamburgers." One netizen remarked, "Sounded like a diaper catastrophe.

Not the first time Donald Trump has been accused of public flatulence

This isn’t the first time Donald Trump has been accused of a public flatulence incident.

Back in April, another viral video captured what some claimed was Trump passing gas in a courtroom during his hush money trial.

Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the progressive media company MeidasTouch, posted the video and added his own commentary on the situation.

In the video, Meiselas claimed, "Donald Trump is actually farting in the courtroom" and suggested that the incident had created an uncomfortable atmosphere for those around him.

He humorously added that it was "supposedly very stinky around him."

The flatulence claims even reached the ears of Trump's legal team, with Meiselas stating, "I’m hearing it from actual credible people that as he’s kind of falling asleep… he’s actually passing gas and that his lawyers are really struggling with the smell."

Longtime Trump critic George Conway, husband of former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, couldn’t resist commenting on the video.

In a witty reply, he noted, "Not that anyone should do anything with this information — but flatulent and fraudulent do rhyme." His comment quickly went viral, adding fuel to the humorous speculation.
